[SM-USERS] Integrating own Maildir-folders

2006-10-15 Thread Karl Voit
Hi!

I moved my mailsystem to a server which offers Squirrelmail in
addition to my preferred console-mailclient mutt. Bouth access the
same Maildir but Squirrelmail does not show my copied mailfolders in
the subscribe-list.

When I put a dor infront of a foldername (renaming foo to .foo),
Squirrelmail offers me that flder in the subscribe-dialog. But that
does not work for subfolders (like .foo/bar -> .foo/.bar).

,[ example ]
| ~/Maildir
|.Trash  -> visible in subscribe-list of Squirrelmail
|.Drafts -> visible in subscribe-list of Squirrelmail
|.Sent   -> visible in subscribe-list of Squirrelmail
|foo -> NOT visible in subscribe-list of Squirrelmail
| bar -> NOT visible in subscribe-list of Squirrelmail
|.foo-> visible in subscribe-list of Squirrelmail
| bar -> NOT visible in subscribe-list of Squirrelmail
| .bar -> NOT visible in subscribe-list of Squirrelmail
|[...]
`

How can I include my subfolders too?

Is there a way to include my folders without adding those nasty dots
in the names? It bothers me in my usage of mutt :-(

Thank you!

This is a result of the IMAP server you are using, not Squirrelmail. You
must abide by its folder naming and structure requirements; if those
don't suit your needs then look at others.

An alternative might be to configure mutt to talk IMAP to your mail
store instead of reading it directly. I would expect that the folder
names presented in each program would be the same as in Squirrelmail
then.

are you sure that .bar maildir structure is not corrupted?

You use courier-imap or dovecot configured to use courier namespace.
Maildir folders are prefixed with dot in file system. Configure mutt to
use IMAP instead of accessing maildir directly and mutt won't see dot
prefixes.

Re: [SM-USERS] my squirrelmail sorting has stuffed up

2006-10-15 Thread Daminto Lie
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me here. I got problem with sorting in my squirrelmail. It was working before then for some reason, it now doesn't work anymore. What happens is that some of the latest emails are sitting somewhere in the middle.

For example,
Jun 9, 2006 blah blah
jun10, 2006
Oct 2, 2006
Oct 5, 2006
6:56 am
12:04 pm
and so on

should there not be as follows
6:56 am
12:04 pm
Oct 2, 2006
Oct 5, 2006
...

I have tried the date button for sorting, but it doesn't help as much. How do i reset the sorting system in squirrelmail? or how do i at least put the later incoming emails on the top of the list?

Thank you in advance

I'm wondering that this feature worked ever. Sine I use SQM 1.5.1 sorting
doesen't work correctly and no one on this mailing list has a solution.
