[SM-USERS] Anyway to set Compose window default to 'maximized'?

2004-02-19 Thread Steve Isham
Does anyone know if there is a way to set the Compose window default to
'maximized'? I am using SquirrelMail v1.4.2-1. I could not a way to do this
in the Options or the FAQ.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

you need to develop some JavaScript-Stuff that detects the Client's
Screen-Resolution and use the detected values instead of the settings from
your configuration (see: "Options - Display Preferences") because the
javascript method "window.open()" does not provide a argument "maximized".
After that you should adapt the textareas attributes "rows" and "cols"
with a javascript. If not it does not make any sense...

This breaks with the intent of the SM-Developers *not* to use JavaScript
in basic functionality.

So the easiest solution for you maybe: Set your preferences in Options -
Display Preferences to a fitting value and adapt the sourcecode in
./src/compose.php so that you have a bigger Textarea.

The solution that fits best to your needs will need a little programmer's
work.

Regards, Frank

[SM-USERS] Multiple Servers

2004-02-19 Thread Stefan Kugler
Hi!

Does Sqm support more than one IMAP Server loaded into your Webmail?
A user wants to use another IMAP Server with our webmail.
I haven't found any plugin that sounds like a solution.
Or is the only possibility to add another imap server to the login page
with a plugin?

Thanks!

Greetings,
Stefan

[SM-USERS] Memory Issue?

2004-02-19 Thread Tim Dorsch
I have a RedHat linux 8.0 install using UW imap, on a AMD 1600 w/ 256MB of
RAM. I notice by using the TOP command and watching memory, I will have
about 60MB of free Mem. If i login to squirrelmail (1.4.0), and just
click around on folders and emails, the available mem will drop withing a
few minutes from the 60MB free to about 5MB, and I can see the slowness.
If i restart the http service it will be back up to 60MB free again. Can
anyone tell me what might be causing this? How can i fix?

Thanks

[SM-USERS] Error Code: -12281

2004-02-19 Thread Peter Lindeman
Hello,

I have now installed SquirrelMail 1.4.2 on my system but when I send a
message through SquirrelMail I get the error :

www.lindeman.org has sent an incorrect or unexpected message. Error
Code: -12281

The message is sent correctly but the compose screen stays. This is done
with Mozilla Firebird 0.8

When I do the same with IE 6 after pressing Send to send the message I
get a "The page cannot be displayed" error

When I install SquirrelMail 1.5.0 I immediately get this error when
logging in so logging in with 1.5.0 is not possible at all.

I have Courier-IMAP installed. Do anybody have an idea about what goes
wrong?
