20180913 - Clarification about Limitation

Hi Solr Team,
I am new to SOLR. I need following clarification from you. 
How many documents can be stored in one core?   
Is there any limit for number of fields per document?   How 
many Core’s can be created in on SOLR?Is there 
any other limitation is there based on the Disk storage size? I mean some of 
the database has the 10 GM limit, I have asked like that. Can 
we use SOLR as a database?

Clarification about Solr Cloud and Shard

Dear Solr Team, I need following clarification from you, please check and give 
suggestion to me, 1. I want to store and search 200 Billions of documents(Each 
document contains 16 fields). For my case can I able to achieve by using Solr 
cloud? 2. For my case how many shard and nodes will be needed? 3. In future can

Recover data from network shared path

Hi to all,My PC is physically damaged, so my Solr cloud instance is down.My 
Solr cloud instance data path is a network shared drive. So that all the 
indexed data are available. How to use/recover that data by using the 
other / alternate Solr cloud instance. Thanks, Rekha Karthick 

How to archive Solr cloud and delete the data?

Hi Solr Team, I want to archive my Solr data. Is there any api available to 
archive data? I planned to read data by month wise and store that into another 
collection. But this plan takes long time, as like adding new data and new 
indexing. And when I delete the archived data from the main collection disk 
size not get changed,  I mean after deletion also data directory size is same. 
Deleted documents count only updated on the admin GUI. When I Google for this, 
some body says based on merged policy when the deleted documents reached 
50%,then only it will removed from the disk. I didn't clear with it. How 
can I delete and retain the deleted document space? Which is the best way to 
archive data? Thanks, Rekha K
