https://forecast.io may be the solution. It provides a JSON feed, which you can
parse using jq, for example. The link you want to look at is
https://developer.forecast.io/docs/v2. If you should need further assistance,
post a followup or write me privately. If you do the latter, do note that I will
provide a summary for the group within a week of the first response. -- H

rssweather.com is the site to get RSS feeds for weather.

with open('data.csv') as f:
data = dict([[l.strip() for l in line] for line in csv.reader(f)])

data
 {'apple': '3.5', 'banana': '4.0', 'orange': '3.0'}

You can use read_json --
http://pandas.pydata.org/pandas-docs/stable/generated/pandas.read_json.html to
read it into a dataframe. Or you can read the json into python objects and use
read_records to create a pandas DataFrame from there. -- H

Please see this page https://docs.python.org/2/using/mac.html. The following
will show a window, entitled "Hello world":

#!/pyobjc/virtualenv/path/bin/python

import sys
import os

from AppKit import *
from PyObjCTools import AppHelper

class Delegate (NSObject):
def applicationDidFinishLaunching_(self, aNotification):
'''Called automatically when the application has launched'''
print "Hello, World!"

def windowWillClose_(self, aNotification):
'''Called automatically when the window is closed'''
print "Window has been closed"
NSApp().terminate_(self)

def main():
a=NSApplication.sharedApplication()
delegate = Delegate.alloc().init()
a.setDelegate_(delegate)
frame = ((200.0, 300.0), (250.0, 100.0))
w = NSWindow.alloc().initWithContentRect_styleMask_backing_defer_(frame,
15, 2, 0)
w.setDelegate_(delegate)
w.setTitle_(u'Hello, World!')
w.orderFrontRegardless()
AppHelper.runEventLoop()

if __name__ == '__main__':
main()

Python's primary repository is Mercurial (hg.python.org), not Git. Were python
to switch, it wouldn't be too much work to just deploy gitlab (or whatever)
instead of mercurial. However, I see nothing git offers over mercurial. -- H
