Running multiple versions of Python on the same host..
For my day job I am forced to run RHEL3 (and Centos3 on my desktop). I want to be able to use a few applications that require Python 2.4.X but RHEL3 ships with Python 2.2.3. I have tried to install and upgrade Python 2.4.X many ways like using PyVault and doing a source based install but each way has been fraught with problems from weird dependency issues to screwing up 'yum'. What is the best way to run multiple version of Python on the same system? thanks! -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
Re: Modifying body of select message in a 'mbox' file.
Well.. I hate to reply to my own post.. but here is an update.. When I flatten a 'mbox' mail message and suck it into a 'email' mail message.. things look fine except that every MIME encoded section has a 'UNIX From' header added to the top of it and the From user is set to 'nobody'.. Does anyone know why this 'From' header is added to every MIME encoded section in the body? thanks! -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
Phoenix, AZ PIGgie (User Group)?
Does anyone know if there is a Phoenix (Arizona) based Python User Group? If not, is there any interest out there to start one? Personally, I'm motivated to help out with it.. If you are interest too (or know of an existing group I might of over- looked) email mmarch at gmail dot com. thanks! -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
