Oh, I'm sorry, I made two typos in Pablo's full name :-( His name is:
Pablo *Galindo* Salgado.

[python-committers] Introduction - Pablo Galindo Salgado

2018-06-20 Thread Pablo Galindo Salgado
Hi everyone,

I would like to thank everyone for giving me their trust and allow me to be
part of the team. Is really an honor
to be part of such an outstanding family! I will put work and commitment in
all areas of CPython maintenance
and development and I will help as much as I can other core devs,
contributors and everyone in the community.
I will do so with extra care so nobody will be disappointed for this
decision. I will fight as well to help making the
Python community as inclusive and diverse as possible for everyone. Also, I
will happily continue to work with Victor
making sure the buildbots are happy and green.

As a final note, I would like to thank Victor for his trust, encouragement
and kindness, for all the time mentoring
me and for vouching for me in this process.

Thank you everyone for you support and for your work improving Python and
the Python community!

Regards from cloudy London,
Pablo

Because you're human, you're going to screw something up at some
point, just as each of us has done already and will do again :).
Don't worry about it too much; just try to exercise good judgement,
accept (hopefully constructive) criticism, try to fix things when you
do break them and ask for help when you can't do it yourself. And
remember to have fun. After all, we're all volunteers; why are we
doing this if we're not enjoying it?

Welcome!! I remember how excited I was to be offered a core-dev position. It
really is a cool thing.

Thank you for be willing to join in that work. And don't worry -- the terror of screwing up the second time is nothing
like the terror of screwing up the first! :-)
