[PHP] Uploading, and excuting.

2004-02-13 Thread Chris Sandy
In the last week or 2, ive been reading a lot about servers been getting
abused. Scripts uploaded to /tmp I've noticed someone trying to do
this on my server so I checked all logs. Nothing found. Suexec didn't
pick anything up so im guessing it could be from a php script. Im in
the process now of installing phpsuexec but has anything else had this
problem or know any docs I can read up on this issue?

Thanx

Your directing the client to another site. So yes this will work.

Subject: [PHP] header(Location: question

when you use a command like this:
header("Location:
http://www.highbandwidhtmirror.com/videos/download.mpg";);

Is the user downloading off the mirror site or is your server
downloading
from the mirror and passing on to the end user. I want to save bandwidth
by
having mirror urls of funny videos, so will this work?

I agree, these people need to be removed from the list.

Why oh why do people subscribe to this list and then set a bloody
auto-responder up?! The poor people who actually post messages to this
list helping others get nothing but a wealth of spam and crap back
again because some list subscribers are either careless or just plain
ignorant, i.e.:

"This email has been automatically sent.

If you wish to contact Technical Outsourcing please use the contacts
page at
http://www.technical-outsourcing.com/contacts.php.

Your questions are important to us and we will endeavor to answer them
in less than 24 hours."

And just by posting this ranting vent I'm going to get another one of
the above.

Ack!

RE: [PHP] Internal server error

2004-03-02 Thread Chris Sandy
They may be running mod_security and a badly configured mod_security can
produce 500.

I also noticed when compiling php as a cgi 90% of my code gave me 500
errors as well.

We are using a web-hotel named b-one. Very often we stumble on 'internal

server error 500' without any reason. I have not touched the php-pages
and yet the problem occur. What should I do? Is there any possibilty
that my scrips are causing these errors? We also get the same errors
when working in phpmyadmin for the same page.

I've mailed to b-one but they only respond 'all is fine and working'.

That's not true. Simply send an email to systems at php dot net for
maintenance issues like this. I have unsubscribed
[EMAIL PROTECTED], but I see no address from
AirAndHotel.com
subscribed to any of the lists. Get me some headers from one of these
messages and I can take a closer look.
