Hello team,

I have installed postgresql
Based on the documentation, now in WHM>Status it shows that postgresql 
is down as well when I want to create a new account in WHM it says 
account creation failed because postgresql is down.


Do you have any insight on that?
I dug the internet, but found nothing that I can relate to this issue.

You are going to need to provide more information:

1) Is WHM this-https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPanel#WHM_(WebHost_Manager)?

2) If WHM is the above have you contacted cPanel for assistance?

3) Where did you get Postgres from and what version did you get?

4) Did you do the below to install Postgres?:

https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/CKB/Install+or+Update+PostgreSQL+on+Your+cPanel+Server

If not how did you install it?

5) Are there logs for WHM and do they show anything relevant to this 
problem?

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

I am an advanced user, a client requested to install postgresql for them. The 
postgresql was down in System> Status. I managed to start that and now its 
running fine. 
Now I have an odd problem. When I try to create a new account in WHM (Account 
Creation) I get the message: account creation status failed the postgresql 
service is down

2) If WHM is the above have you contacted cPanel for assistance?
cPanel does not officially support postgresql.

4) Did you do the below to install Postgres?:

which makes reference to:

/usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log

In the above case it was a missing entry in pg_hba.conf.

Have you looked in the error log?
