I think a good alternative Microsoft offer is the Bing translator, all the 
infos can be found here: http://www.microsofttranslator.com/dev/they have AJAX, 
SOAP and REST API

Hi,

It shouldn't be too hard to substitute with another service. Someone has an 
alternative service to propose?

In case you didn't noticed, the SL viewer has for many months provided a 
translator tool withing its viewer. That is if you talk in local chat with 
people of other language, it translate everything automaticly.
So it is this service that will be affected by Google policy change, as well as 
pretty much all Translator HUD we use inworld.

Would be awesome if it can be integrated in all 3rd party viewer as well as SL 
official viewer, im sure lots of resident has the Kinect.
