OS Xista? Or is it ok? I'm running Lion on an early 2011 MBP ( quad core i7 @ 2.2GHz, 8GB RAM, AMD 6750M GPU, SSD ) and the last two LL viewers have been really good. VBO settings work again and the viewer on High graphics setting is smooth and stable. Overall, I love Lion for it's very good implementation of multiple desktops ( aka (the unfortunately named) Mission Control ). I do a lot of things at once, in general that this is the nicest desktop OS that I've ever used for that. It benefits greatly from a trackpad though. ___ Policies and (un)subscribe information available here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/OpenSource-Dev Please read the policies before posting to keep unmoderated posting privileges

I disagree with this statement. On unix like systems it's standard practice to store user specific settings in a file or directory like ~/.thePackage . Just because someone removes/replaces/updates the software does not mean that *anything* should happen to the contents of that file or directory. It's even worse on systems with more than one user. I think that it's better to decouple the per-user settings and preferences from the package installation entirely. Just my $L0.02. ___ Policies and (un)subscribe information available here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/OpenSource-Dev Please read the policies before posting to keep unmoderated posting privileges
