This was fixed is it now a do-over?
>From April 11,2011 message list archive:

Quicktime SDK is an INSTALL_PROPRIETARY=TRUE archive download. The LL archive
is
modified to work with VS2010. The Apple Quicktime SDK has not been modified and

fails compile. I cloned 3p-quicktime and with autobuild build and package have
the libraries. The procedure worked extremely well. Then, I modified
autobuild.xml to point to the local copy. Now the catch, since
QuickTimePlugin.cmake has: if (INSTALL_PROPRIETARY) include(Prebuilt)
use_prebuilt_binary(quicktime) endif(INSTALL_PROPRIETARY) What autobuild
setup
or command line switch do I use to access the local copy? I commented out the
if(INSTALL_PROPRIETARY) and then it pulled from the local copy with
autobuild.xml set to the location and md5sum printed as output of autobuild
package command. What are the planned methods to use local copies of what at
one time were proprietary or license restricted packages and now can be cloned
and built on a local computer and used? Also, does INSTALL_PROPRIETARY make
sense when the end result is the library is on the local computer and can be

So far as I can tell there, currently isn't a switch for quicktime only.
I've patched the Quicktime.Plugin.cmakeQuickTimePlugin.cmake file to add one
(USE_QUICKTIME). I haven't found any problems with this yet, but I'm
still checking for alternatives.

Attached is a diff for the changes

[opensource-dev] tcmalloc

2011-05-19 Thread Kiptic ‌

Hi,

when trying to compile (18425):

autobuild --debug configure -c OpenSourceRelWithDebInfo -- -DFMOD:BOOL=TRUE

I get this error:

InstallError: unknown package: tcmalloc
ERROR: unknown package: tcmalloc
For more information: try re-running your command with --verbose or --debug
CMake Error at cmake/Prebuilt.cmake:48 (message):

Call Stack (most recent call first):
  cmake/GooglePerfTools.cmake:8 (use_prebuilt_binary)
  cmake/LLCommon.cmake:7 (include)
  llaudio/CMakeLists.txt:10 (include)

It seems I lack the tcmalloc package. Shouldn't this be automatically
downloaded? I messed up somewhere?

1. It looks like your using and older copy of the repository because
your using OpenSourceRelWithDebInfo where as in the current copy you should
be using ReleaseWithDebInfoOS

2. Instead of using -DFMOD:BOOL=True use -DFMOD=ON

Well, there are definitely further optimizations to be made here as well.
Rightt now the new viewerui project isn't using precompiled headers yet, so
that could explain why the build is taking longer. Hopefully reenabling pch
with a new header file specifically tuned for the viewerui project will give
even bigger gains.

that is the issue that fixed fmod for OS devs plus there are instructions

I saw that, it's a shame that major regressions are considered by management to
be acceptable to force upon all residents. For social users of SL, it's a
reason to stop using the Linden viewer or consider taking a break from SL :-/

Shouldn't the JIRA still be open in some kind of pending status, pending the
actual release of the fixed client?

Re: [opensource-dev] Mesh branch merged to viewer-development

2011-05-19 Thread Trilo Byte
With so many of the jiras related to this merge not being publicly accessible,
I wouldn't know where to start looking for the issue to report it under. But
this one seems to have appeared since the mesh merge...

First appeared in 230343, but the changelog for that build only shows STORM-1100

Checked checkboxes in the Mac client show with garbled graphics instead of a
checked box. In an unchecked state, they appear normally. (any tab of
preferences or the build menu will do).
