There's now a native SDK for webOS - several 3D games are using it, and it
supports OpenGL 2.0 ES and SDL.

So, in theory, you could take chunks of the existing viewer code and move
them over, though the renderer would need to be made OpenGL ES compliant
(which would be useful for several other platforms).

The Pre has a PowerVR SGX530, same as the Droid and the N900; it's a
less-capable version of the 535 in the iPhone 3GS.

(chuckle) Not at all clear how they could have stopped me, but in fact 
they encouraged me.

More seriously... I hope to be spending a fair amount of time meeting 
with people over the coming weeks, both inside LL and outside, and my 
number one agenda is to learn what needs to be done to build a 
recognition that it's in everyones interest to play nice.  Conflict is 
fine - sometimes it's even productive, as long as it's done in a way 
that recognizes that everyone is
