[Numpy-discussion] Closember

2022-11-20 Thread Inessa Pawson
Some of you might have noticed that at the start of November the
“closember” tag was added to the numpy/numpy GtiHub repository (
https://github.com/numpy/numpy). In case you are wondering, Closember (
https://closember.org/) is a month-long initiative hosted by Quansight,
OpenTeams, and FairOSS that aims to educate and advocate for better
practices in contributing to open source.

Here are a few ways for you all to participate in Closember and help the
NumPy maintainers:

   - Review all the issues opened by you: are they still relevant? If not,
please close them. If yes, leave a comment with an update. If you found a
workaround, share it with the community in a comment to the issue.
   - Review 12+ months old bug issues: try reproducing a bug to verify that
it is still present. If not, please let us know so we can close the issue.
   - Review your open pull requests: are you intending on finishing them?
If yes, please let us know by leaving a comment. If not, please close them.

If you have any questions about participating in Closember, please post
them in a thread.
