[Nant-users] Off Topic: Associate .build files with xml

Title: Off Topic: Associate .build files with xml

Hi,

This is probably a dumb question, but is it possible to associate files with a .build extension to xml?

In Visual Studio, files that have a .xml extension are rendered with practical coloring and formatting.  It would be great to have this "schema" with .build files.

Sure. In the Open File dialog in VS.NET, theres a small arrow beside the
Open button. Click it and choose Open With... You'll get a list of options.
Choose HTML/XML Editor. Click Set as default.

VS.NET will now associate .build with XML.

I think he means having VS.NET open build files as
though they were XML files, complete with syntax
highlighting, indenting, etc No just as regular
text files.

Having said that, I don't think think there is a way
to "associate" different file extensions like that.
There might be something in the registry, however.

Uhm... did you try what I wrote? It does exactly that.
