Please check in the plugins settings that at least one storage backend is
enabled (checked). The XML backend is recommended.

 Thank you for your response.  When setting up a new accounting book (first
time I have used Kubuntu or kmymoney), I fill out the page with my name,
address, etc. When going through each step, on of the options is the XML, which
is recommended, and so I use it.  After selecting the default setup (first
option), I tried to save, and get the error message.  Subsequent attempts to
exit the program (top right corner "X", close program function) results in the
same message, trapping me between trying to close the error message and the
program, looping between the two.  This is my first experience with any form of
Linux, so I may have something else wrong, but I don't know how to troubleshoot
this problem.
