test case

SUMMARY
In the current documentation for the master branch, there is a chapter on
printing checks, in which the topic is basically described, but without the
required condition.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
2. load appended testcase into kmymoney
3. open account named "checking"
4. select transaction showing "expense" in the details
5. Right click on that transaction
6. select transaction showing "income" in the details
7. Right click on that transaction

OBSERVED RESULT
Re 5. The menu entry "check printing" is enabled
Re 7. The menu entry "check printing" is not enabled

EXPECTED RESULT
The documentation for printing checks
(https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/kmymoney/kmymoney/details.settings.plugins.html#details.settings.plugins.printchecks)
should include these details:
- The account must be of "checking" type
- A transaction must be a payment to another account (technical a negative
value in the first split is checked)

Bug ID: 491976
Summary: Printing checks only works once during the runtime of
the application
Classification: Applications
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: git (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: All
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kmymoney-devel@kde.org
  Reporter: ralf.habac...@freenet.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
In the current documentation for the master branch, there is a chapter on
printing checks, in which the topic is basically described, but without the
required condition.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
2. load appended testcase into kmymoney
3. open account named "checking"
4. select transaction showing "expense" in the details
5. Right click on that transaction
6. select "check printing"
7. print check for example to a file
8. Right click on that transaction again

OBSERVED RESULT
Re 8. The menu entry "check printing" is not enabled. You need to restart the
application to restore "check printing" for the associated transaction

EXPECTED RESULT
Printing a check for a specific transaction should not depend on restarting the
application.
For example, it may be that the first attempt did not work or that a new form
should be tried.

[kmymoney] [Bug 491828] Currency settings show incorrect

2024-08-21 Thread Tony via KMyMoney-devel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=491828

There's another related problem when trying to enter into the Ledger a transfer
from an EUR account to a BTC account. When entering the transaction into the
EUR account, I can only enter a BTC amount of up to 2 decimal places, not 8
decimal places. And if I try to change the BTC amount in the BTC account, then
the EUR amount changes.
