Classification: Applications
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: git (master)
  Platform: Other

KMyMoney: Version 5.1.80-a418cd886
KMymoney shows incorrect balance values for credit cards in ledger and all net
worth reports.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create new book with checking account, balance = 0 (name = Direct)
2. Add new credit card account (name=Visa)
3. Add new deposit transaction in checking account, value=2
3. Just transfer 1 from checking account to credit card account.

Expected result:
1. In Assets and Liabilities Summary in the dashboard net worth should be
2, checking account balance should be 1, credit card account should be
1. Result OK!
2. In credit card ledger, the balance in the row with transfer should be 1,
but the result is -1. Result FAILED!
3. In credit card ledger total balance should be 1. Result OK!
4. Net worth for credit card after the transfer transaction in net worth
reports should be 1, but there is -1. Result FAILED!

[kmymoney] [Bug 470988] New: Back up numbers and location

First off, I really like kmymoney. Thanks for all the hard work developing it.
Great job.

Just a little wish list item(s). For the autosave/backups. It would be nice to
only save one backup per session (so 10 backups would be the last 10 sessions,
not just all the ones every 10 minutes) and it would also be great to specify
where the backups are stored.

Again, both of those are seriously no big deal. Thanks again. --Michael

[kmymoney] [Bug 470988] Back up numbers and location

2023-06-13 Thread Jack via KMyMoney-devel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470988

First, autosave and save are different from backup.
Backup is not automatic, but you do get to specify the location.
When you do an explicit save, it is basically the same save as the autosave, so
if you just save the file once at the end of each session, you should have the
last 10 versions of the data file. Also, checking the "Autosave when file is
modified on close" should do exactly the same thing.
Note that all those saved and autosaved files are all in the same folder as the
main data file.
Given that information, can you be more specific about what you are requesting?
I suppose I can see the use of a "Backup on close" (or maybe 'Backup on
start") to assure one copy backed up per session.
