[kmymoney] [Bug 470988] New: Back up numbers and location
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470988 Bug ID: 470988 Summary: Back up numbers and location Classification: Applications Product: kmymoney Version: 5.1.2 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: file Assignee: kmymoney-devel@kde.org Reporter: imgi...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- First off, I really like kmymoney. Thanks for all the hard work developing it. Great job. Just a little wish list item(s). For the autosave/backups. It would be nice to only save one backup per session (so 10 backups would be the last 10 sessions, not just all the ones every 10 minutes) and it would also be great to specify where the backups are stored. Again, both of those are seriously no big deal. Thanks again. --Michael -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[kmymoney] [Bug 470988] Back up numbers and location
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470988 --- Comment #1 from Jack --- First, autosave and save are different from backup. Backup is not automatic, but you do get to specify the location. When you do an explicit save, it is basically the same save as the autosave, so if you just save the file once at the end of each session, you should have the last 10 versions of the data file. Also, checking the "Autosave when file is modified on close" should do exactly the same thing. Note that all those saved and autosaved files are all in the same folder as the main data file. Given that information, can you be more specific about what you are requesting? I suppose I can see the use of a "Backup on close" (or maybe 'Backup on start") to assure one copy backed up per session. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
