[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1518636] Re: Bose SoundLink Mini II do not connect in HighFidelity
** Package changed: ubuntu => linux-firmware (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-firmware in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1518636 Title: Bose SoundLink Mini II do not connect in HighFidelity Status in Linux Mint: New Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hello I am a very happy user of Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.2 Rafaela on this old Dell Studio 17 laptop that I happen to own. And guys by the way, you're doing a great job there ! Now. my happiness would be perfect if my bluetooth speaker, (a Bose SoundLink Mini II) could connect correctly in high fidelity Playback, rather than awful Telephony Duplex, as soon as it is recognized by the bluetooth interface. The issue may be solved by disconnecting and reconnecting it again, and then selecting manually high fidelity playback. So in the end it works, but this has to be repeated every time. A bit too much of tinkering, I'd say. Anything I can do to solve this slightly annoying problem ? Thank you ! [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1548581] Re: using wacom tablet crashes the whole system in 16.04
Hi, It seems like a driver issue. ** Package changed: ubuntu => linux-firmware (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-firmware in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1548581 Title: using wacom tablet crashes the whole system in 16.04 Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Just tried the daily build and - as I expected, because I tried many times - if I try to use my Wacom tablet, the whole system freezes. I'm not sure what it is, maybe it gets a kernel panic or it's because X.org, but I can't even restart the session, just if I turn off my laptop by pressing the power button for seconds, because after trying to use the graphics tablet, even the mouse and keyboard are frozen. I reproduced this many times and I got the same results every single time. But this doesn't even need to be in a drawing software. If I move the pen over the tablet the whole system crashes. Of course, if I pull it out and after restart I use Ubuntu without it, then everything is normal, but in my opinion this is a heavily serious issue, considering that we are talking about an LTS release, which has to mean rock-solid stability over non-LTS distros. Now I'm in Linux Mint, because this happens since 15.10 and Mint is the only Linux distribution which has full support for my graphics and art project workflow. Whatever they do, it just works, but Ubuntu is seriously unstable these days. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1545902] Re: Ubuntu 16.04 desktop bug
Hi, It looks like there are some issues supporting your videocard in the latest kernel versions ( http://www.spinics.net/lists/intel-gfx/msg83618.html ) It could be very helpfull to collect some logs in order for the problem to be handled. Please follow the following guides: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Bugs https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/KernelTeamBugPolicies As you can see from the links, as a last resort, at a minimum, your bug report should contain the output of the following commands: $ uname -a > uname-a.log $ cat /proc/version_signature > version.log $ dmesg > dmesg.log $ sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log ** Package changed: ubuntu => linux-firmware (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux-firmware (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-firmware in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1545902 Title: Ubuntu 16.04 desktop bug Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Pardon me for the lack of information I am about to provide. I am fairly new to Ubuntu and am using the 16.04 in order to use wifi on my Dell XPS 13 9350. I believe I have found a bug related to the desktop or unity. This us d to happen with the earlier builds of 16.04 but as the development has increased the frequency has decreased. Basically what happens is the desktop has some severe crashes at startup. For one no icons appear (not even the top menu bar) and the only thing I can see if "wireless connection established" box and it rapidly appears on and off rapidly to no avail until I force shut off the computer. The only solution I have found is wiping the build and starting with the new daily live build. This doesn't happen all the time, in fact it happens randomly from what I can tell. No particular thing causes it... Again sorry for the lack of information.
