[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1576815] Re: No wireless access for BCM 43162 [14e4:43ae] rev 02

2016-10-29 Thread chobot
I also solved the lack of drivers for BCM 43162 [14e4:43ae] rev 02. by
replacing WiFi card with Intel Dual band Wireless-AC 7260 7260NGW
Bluetooth BT4.0 NGFF 867Mbps. This card works fine in Ubuntu GNOME
16.04. If you plan to change the card too, be careful - some
manufacturers block hardware changes on BIOS level... More information
can be found at https://www.bios-mods.com/

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1956467] Re: powerlight stays on after shutdown

I also confirm - 5.13.0-28-generic kernel update solved the issue on my
laptop HP Envy.

Title:
  powerlight stays on after shutdown

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After kernel upgrade from 5.11.0.40 to versions 5.11.0.41, 5.11.0.43,
5.11.0.44 power-button light fails to switch off, after shutdown.

shutdown can be triggered from command line or via desktop menu,
result is the same. After rebooting from 5.11.0.40 normal
  functionality is restored.

systemd appears to complete shutdown looking at the logs (see
  attached)

Switching to suspend mode (sleep) functions as expected (power light blinks)
and stays permanently on after wake-up.
