[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1382404] Re: 10ec:b723 Realtek Bluetooth on 8723BE not working
I'm using Utopics default kernel and I also got wifi working with https://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new. I even got bluetooth to work with lwfinger's rtl8723au_bt. But when bluetooth is enabled, wifi is not working very well (unless the signals is very good, the connection becomes slow and unresponsive at times). I know that bluetooth and wifi use the same antenna for this chipset, but I'm hoping it's a driver issue and could be fixed on the software level. I would be happy to debug if needed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1382404 Title: 10ec:b723 Realtek Bluetooth on 8723BE not working Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: We need to support the realtek bluetooth part that comes with the Realtek Wifi MiniPCI Card ( 8723BE ) the info collect has been done a Clevo W310CZ Realtek has provided a driver which has been patched to work on trusty/3.13 here : https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723au_bt/tree/51a20d7c07861cbdd7219e54244bb3e38ba55058 This driver replace the current btusb driver and thus might cause different dehaviour with other bluetooth cards. --- ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.4 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: oem2091 F pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=3fc39459-32f3-45b1-9121-6b8d0f2b6765 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-08-09 (68 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20140722.2) MachineType: Notebook W310CZ/CZ-T Package: linux (not installed) ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.13.0-36-generic.efi.signed root=UUID=d43834ee-9abe-45da-acfd-3d522bff10c8 ro acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-36.63-generic 3.13.11.6 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-3.13.0-36-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-3.13.0-36-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.127.5 Tags: trusty Uname: Linux 3.13.0-36-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo _MarkForUpload: True dmi.bios.date: 12/24/2013 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 4.6.5 dmi.board.asset.tag: Tag 12345 dmi.board.name: W310CZ dmi.board.vendor: Notebook dmi.board.version: V2.0 dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: Notebook dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr4.6.5:bd12/24/2013:svnNotebook:pnW310CZ/CZ-T:pvrNotApplicable:rvnNotebook:rnW310CZ:rvrV2.0:cvnNotebook:ct10:cvrN/A: dmi.product.name: W310CZ/CZ-T dmi.product.version: Not Applicable dmi.sys.vendor: Notebook To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1382404/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1382404] Re: 10ec:b723 Realtek Bluetooth on 8723BE not working
Bluetooth driver for this chipset will be included in the 4.1 kernel, once released, maybe it can be backported to older versions as well? Otherwise no native support until Ubuntu 15.10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1382404 Title: 10ec:b723 Realtek Bluetooth on 8723BE not working Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: We need to support the realtek bluetooth part that comes with the Realtek Wifi MiniPCI Card ( 8723BE ) the info collect has been done a Clevo W310CZ Realtek has provided a driver which has been patched to work on trusty/3.13 here : https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723au_bt/tree/51a20d7c07861cbdd7219e54244bb3e38ba55058 This driver replace the current btusb driver and thus might cause different dehaviour with other bluetooth cards. --- ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.4 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: oem2091 F pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=3fc39459-32f3-45b1-9121-6b8d0f2b6765 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-08-09 (68 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20140722.2) MachineType: Notebook W310CZ/CZ-T Package: linux (not installed) ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.13.0-36-generic.efi.signed root=UUID=d43834ee-9abe-45da-acfd-3d522bff10c8 ro acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-36.63-generic 3.13.11.6 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-3.13.0-36-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-3.13.0-36-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.127.5 Tags: trusty Uname: Linux 3.13.0-36-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo _MarkForUpload: True dmi.bios.date: 12/24/2013 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 4.6.5 dmi.board.asset.tag: Tag 12345 dmi.board.name: W310CZ dmi.board.vendor: Notebook dmi.board.version: V2.0 dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: Notebook dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr4.6.5:bd12/24/2013:svnNotebook:pnW310CZ/CZ-T:pvrNotApplicable:rvnNotebook:rnW310CZ:rvrV2.0:cvnNotebook:ct10:cvrN/A: dmi.product.name: W310CZ/CZ-T dmi.product.version: Not Applicable dmi.sys.vendor: Notebook To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1382404/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
