Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1919250] Re: [ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DT] [ELAN1200:00 04F3:30BA] touchpad freeze or disable itself after laptop go to suspend

2021-07-31 Thread Solaris
Nope,
The reason: I return back to LTS version and reinstalled it from the
scratch.
Laptop is a for production I couldn't continue with that bug and other
problems.
LTS 20.04.2 DOES NOT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS.

Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1919250] Re: [ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DT] [ELAN1200:00 04F3:30BA] touchpad freeze or disable itself after laptop go to suspend

2021-08-01 Thread Solaris
I knew my dear, 20.04 is older but more stable; exactly for this reason I
got back to old one. It was unwise of me to upgrade distro to 20.10
(newer), usually it has more bugs.
To answer your question, there is not any problem with 20.04 LTS, for now,
but if start to add gnome extensions (I do not know which one)
More probably is gone destabilize the system.
I had this suspicious before that there are several conflicts when one add
additional features of gnome with Ubuntu desktop vs without them, because
before I was using LTS before upgrade and I found some instability when I
started to add gnome extensions to Unity. I'm not gonna do that again.

Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1919408] Re: General protection fault, kernel panics on ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

2021-03-19 Thread Solaris
Sure, I already checked. By "memtester 100m 1" and " memtester 2000m 1";
they are OK.
l will re-test it again with memtest86 later, during the boot.

Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1919408] Re: General protection fault, kernel panics on ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

2021-03-23 Thread Solaris
Here you go with the memtest86 result.

it shows massive errors on Ram. I installed a new one to double check if it
is not also a Motherboard issue; since last night memtest 86 did not show
any error.

I will wait until this weekend to be sure there are no issues and get back
to you with an update.

Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1919408] Re: [amdgpu] System freeze

2021-04-09 Thread Solaris
I found out that every time I push the system to use more graphic card by
watching internet videos or editing videos The Gui freezes. By disabling
keyboard and mouse there is no othere way than hard reboot.
I do not know if the Radeon driver or graphic card itself.
I am going to change Radeon driver and do other test to see if I can find
something.
