[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1850439] Re: No sound on ASUS UX534FT

2020-03-29 Thread Koopee
I have a similar problem, with ASUS UX430U. The internal speakers and
output to HDMI works fine, but headphones do not. If I connect
headphones, I hear a soft blob-blob-blob-blob... from them. Works fine
with Windows 10.

Using Linux 5.3.0-42-generic #34~18.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Fri Feb 28 13:42:26

  Hi,

there is no sound coming out of mine new ASUS Zenbook 15 UX534FT-

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1810214 which had
the same problem with driver for Realtek ALC294 which is also mine
sound card. But even with this fix it is not working on UX534FT. Can
you please add fix also for this newer model?

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1208993] Re: Ubuntu slows down and hangs while copying file from/to USB

2020-09-09 Thread Koopee
I don't know if this helps, but I have experienced similar issue. Might
be a different reason, though.

1. connect phone (Oneplus 6) to computer and start large file transfer from
there (~10GB or so).
2. Insert memory card to memory card reader on the computer
3. The system is really unresponsive until the phone transfer completes.

  Hi

While copying many and large files to and from a USB drive, the system

Title:
0bc2:ab10 [Lenovo IdeaPad Y510P] USB 3.0 HDD connected to USB 3.0 port
  won't power off after unmounting

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
Other than shutting down or pulling the cord out.
May not be a kernel bug, didn't know otherwise..

  Test case:
  boot up, log in
attach a usb 3 hdd ( one without external power) to a usb 3 port
The option to "Safely Remove" will be available in nautilus & unity launcher
icon, click on it

  What happens:
Drive is unmounted, momentarily powered off & then re-powered on ( takes less
than a sec.
  What should happen:
drive should be powered off & stay off until re-attached

If one connects the drive to a usb 2 port then it will power down

  To further confuse -
If one boots up with the device connected or connecting after login then
doing log out/in there is no longer a Safely remove option, only mount or
unmount

At no time does udisksctl power-off -b /path/to actually work, it
acts like first scenario, quickly powered off then right back on.

  Whether useful don't know-
