[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1130030] Re: [Dell Inc. Inspiron 1464] suspend/resume failure [non-free: wl fglrx]

2013-07-23 Thread Deepak
I tried with 3.8.0.26 kernel around 10 times, it works properly. But I remember
around 15 days ago (it might be a different kernel), it failed to resume from
sleep.
I also tried with latest kernel, it failed to resume in first attempt. I tried
again second time same thing happened. It shows a colorful 1inch X 1inch grid
on the screen. Its location was different second time. I am attaching a photo
of that.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1205270] Re: [Dell Inspiron 1464] Failed to resume from suspend in Raring

2013-07-27 Thread Deepak
I tested v3.11-rc2-saucy from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v3.11-rc2-saucy/

It happens more frequently in latest kernel, almost 100%.
It shows 1inch X 1inch colored grid on screen at random location when trying to
resume.

I think CPU resumes but it freezes after that, because LED goes from
blinking state to fully on.

Also some of the modules failed when installing latest kernel.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1205270] Re: [Dell Inspiron 1464] Failed to resume from suspend in Raring

2013-07-28 Thread Deepak
As this doesn't occur all the time, I am not sure whether it was present
in previous releases or not. I can't remember any crash due to
sleep/resume in 12.10. But brightness change crash
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1007765)
started with 12.04.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1007765] Re: brightness adjusting crashes system

2013-10-31 Thread Deepak
I fresh installed Ubuntu 13.10, so it was using free drivers by default. And it
crashed when I tried to change brightness rapidly. So I think the bug is not
present in fglrx-installer. Now I am using AMD drivers, but my brightness
control doesn't work properly, it either increases or decreases after pressing
the key many times, the progress bar in indicator is displayed correctly but
brightness changes randomly.
After echo 0 >/proc/sys/kernel/nmi_watchdog, crash doesn't occur.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 60764] Re: Large file transfer gives error: Corrupted MAC on input

2014-04-30 Thread Deepak Cherian
Just for anyone that's reading, I had this problem while rsync-ing large
files from a server to client. The probably ended up being the RAM. Run
memtest just to be sure.

files from the dapper box to my edgy box (i.e. ssh-server on dapper
box, client on edgy-box), it gives me the following error message:

  mika@lt-mf:~$ scp 192.168.2.101:/home/sina/Desktop/Zeug/*.MOV .
  mika@192.168.2.101's password:
  PICT0015.MOV

   9% 1248KB 611.2KB/s 00:20 ETA
  Disconnecting: Corrupted MAC on input.
  lost connection

  This can be reliably reproduced.

The problem does not occur if I tranfer it by "pushing" (ie. ssh-client on
dapper-box and ssh-server on edgy box).
The problem does also not occur with any other ssh-server.

Let me know if I can provide more info.

2015-09-16 Thread Deepak kakran
Hi,

'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'

tried the v4.2 kernal but still the same issue issue, and also getting a
red mark before the wifi icon which says "An error occured, please run
package manager from right-click menu or apt-get in a terminal to see
what is wrong. The error message was: 'error:BrokenCount > 0' This
usually means the installed package has unmet dependencies "

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1495792] Re: wireless lan had blocked: yes

2015-09-16 Thread Deepak kakran
yes, my laptop has a button for wifi, but its not working in ubuntu.

If i shutdown the system, and after that unplug the battery and thn plugin
again and start the system, the wifi still doesn't work and also doesn't show
list of available wifi networks and the status of the "rfkill list all" is
 soft blocked: no
 hard blocked: no
and than if deselect "Enable wifi" and again select "Enable wifi" it shows
"wifi is disabled by hardware switch" and the result of the "rfkill list all" is
 soft blocked: no
 hard blocked: yes
