[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1130030] Re: [Dell Inc. Inspiron 1464] suspend/resume failure [non-free: wl fglrx]
I tried with 3.8.0.26 kernel around 10 times, it works properly. But I remember around 15 days ago (it might be a different kernel), it failed to resume from sleep. I also tried with latest kernel, it failed to resume in first attempt. I tried again second time same thing happened. It shows a colorful 1inch X 1inch grid on the screen. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1205270] Re: [Dell Inspiron 1464] Failed to resume from suspend in Raring
I tested v3.11-rc2-saucy from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/v3.11-rc2-saucy/ It happens more frequently in latest kernel, almost 100%. It shows 1inch X 1inch colored grid on screen at random location when trying to resume. I think CPU resumes but it freezes after that, because LED goes from blinking state to fully on. Also some of the modules failed when installing latest kernel. ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream-v3.11-rc2 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1205270 Title: [Dell Inspiron 1464] Failed to resume from suspend in Raring Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Today I updated some packages but not linux kernel. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1007765] Re: brightness adjusting crashes system
I fresh installed Ubuntu 13.10, so it was using free drivers by default. And it crashed when I tried to change brightness rapidly. So I think the bug is not present in fglrx-installer. Now I am using AMD drivers, but my brightness control doesn't work properly, it either increases or decreases after pressing the key many times, the progress bar in indicator is displayed correctly but brightness changes randomly. After echo 0 >/proc/sys/kernel/nmi_watchdog, crash doesn't occur. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007765 Title: brightness adjusting crashes system Status in “fglrx-installer” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: When adjusting my laptops brightness the system crashes. what logs do in need to add and how to get them?
