Starting from Linux Kernel 4.19, the Asus USB-AC51 is supported.

Bug description:
  Mediatek provided driver is too old for ubuntu 15.10 with kernel 4.2.

  I have a rt2870/my7610u (Asus USB AC51)and I try driver which is in
  Asus or Mediatek website

  But I can't use "make" to make file ,and I got "error 2" from the
  terminal .

  
  I checked the offical driver and i found THIS CODE in /common/rtusb_dev_id.c
