This is with kmail/akonadi 5.5 (17.04). After running kmail for a few hours,
the Gmail account stops working. Folders are not synced anymore and messages
are not displayed.
I'm using two different Gmail accounts, in case it makes any difference.

I've switched one of the accounts to the imap.googlemail.com domain to bypass
OAUTH authentication and can't reproduce it anymore, so this seems indeed
related to having two accounts.

[Akonadi] [Bug 379733] New: akonadi_imap_resource crashes when configuring accounts

2017-05-11 Thread Antonio Rojas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379733

Bug ID: 379733
   Summary: akonadi_imap_resource crashes when configuring
accounts
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 5.5.1
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP resource
  Assignee: chrig...@fastmail.fm
  Reporter: aro...@archlinux.org
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, vkra...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

With kdepim-runtime 17.04.1, akonadi_imap_resource always crashes when trying
to configure an IMAP account from kmail settings -> accounts. Downgrading to
kdepim-runtime 17.04.0 fixes the problem.

2017-05-25 Thread Antonio Rojas

Summary: deleting a message thread doesn't remove it from the

Steps to reproduce:

- Enable message threading in the message list
- Try to remove a collapsed thread

The thread is correctly removed from the server, but not from the kmail message
list until kmail is restarted.

When hovering over links or email addresses in messages (so the link appears on

itself depending on the length of the link. This looks really bar when you
start hovering obver different links and the progress bar starts resizing up
and down. The progress bar should have a fixed size.

It is not possible to remove events from caldav calendars. The event is removed
from the korganizer view, but not from the server. Moreover, after trying to
delete an event the resource becomes broken and it's not possible to syncronize
the calendar anymore.

Under akonadiconsole, the caldav resource shows the message:
"There was a problem with the request. The item has not been deleted from the

I don't know how to consistently reproduce it, but it has happened a few times

"You deleted an attachment from this message. The original MIME headers for

Can confirm the issue, but I think it is actually Kmail's problem, not akonadi.
The email details show fine in the notification popup, and also in the headers
inside the mail viewer. The issue is in in kmail's email list, looks like the
email is inserted in the list before all details are retrieved. Simply
restarting kmail (without restarting akonadi or cleaning the cache) fixes this
for me.

Yes, this is specific to the EWS accout. I have never seen this on IMAP in the
15+ years I've been using Kmail.

   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 5.240.81
  Platform: Other

  Target Milestone: ---

EWS accounts (Outlook365) are unusable in 24.02 beta - after authenticating,
the mail is synced once, and then the account is disconnected and one needs to
go to the accounts settings and re-authenticate every time.

Another system with 23.08 works fine, so this is not a server side issue.

Mail push doesn't work though, I need to manually check for new mail. Still
it's a big improvement, and makes it sort of usable again.
