[digikam] [Bug 478503] Thumbnail view does not refresh after tag renaming
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478503 --- Comment #3 from rb2005 --- (In reply to Maik Qualmann from comment #1) > I can't reproduce any issue here. When I rename a tag via properties in the > left sidebar, there is no visible refresh of the thumbnail view. The changed > tag name appears immediately under the thumbnails. > Which database are they using exactly? We may need a screencast. > > Maik Here's the screencast requested. The screen response was a bit slower than usual probably due to the screen capture app. For info the database used is MariaDB. The digikam version is digiKam-8.3.0-20231213T161333-Win64.exe. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a91bTZsjub5gHH00geCBy6FFWn5A9YCN/view?usp=sharing p/s: not sure if you can access the google drive from this reply or not. [digikam] [Bug 478525] New: Face Region Shifted Slightly When Tagging Face
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478525 Bug ID: 478525 Summary: Face Region Shifted Slightly When Tagging Face Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 8.3.0 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Faces-Detection Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: rbshs...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 164168 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=164168&action=edit Screen recording doing face scan and tagging. SUMMARY When detecting faces, the face region shifted slightly upon the appearance of the face rectangle box. After tagging the face region seemingly "bounced" back into its original position. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Scan for faces. When face rectangle box shows up, the face region shifted slightly, mainly to the left. 2. After tagging the face, upon pressing enter, the face region seemed to "snap back" into its original position. 3. This was not observed prior to version 8.3 and can be annoying because the face seems to be floating ever so slightly. OBSERVED RESULT Face region shifted when scanning for face and tagging the face. EXPECTED RESULT Face region not moving when doing face scan and tagging. [digikam] [Bug 478503] Thumbnail view does not refresh after tag renaming
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478503 --- Comment #5 from rb2005 --- (In reply to Maik Qualmann from comment #4) > This is definitely a graphics card driver problem, as well as your problem > with the face shifting. We also know this from Qt5. So it seems to still > exist with Qt6. I have to look for the old bug reports. The problem occurs > if you have 2 graphics cards in the system and have set another graphics > card as the accelerator that the graphics output to the monitor. > > Maik To update, the app is running on an Intel i5 11th generation notebook with no external monitor and using Intel built in graphic engine. I downgraded the app to ver. 8.2, specifically digiKam-8.2.0-20231116T055817-Win64.exe and have no issue with the renaming. The thumbnails stayed in place without going blank. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 478525] Face Region Shifted Slightly When Tagging Face
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478525 --- Comment #3 from rb2005 --- (In reply to Maik Qualmann from comment #2) > The cause is an odd desktop scaling factor, you'll be using something like > 125% on Windows. I can also reproduce it here on Linux. I can fix it with: > > QGuiApplication::setHighDpiScaleFactorRoundingPolicy(Qt:: > HighDpiScaleFactorRoundingPolicy::RoundPreferFloor); > > Maik As mentioned in the other bug report, the device is a notebook with intel 11th gen chip and built-in graphics engine. Screen setting at recommended resolution settings and app running in maximized mode. No up-scaling or magnifier mode used. Anyway I reverted back to version 8.2 using digiKam-8.2.0-20231116T055817-Win64.exe and the face scan and tagging have no issue at 100% or fit image in the view pane. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 426700] New: Feature Request: Ability to Clear Face Tags from Multiple Selected Images
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426700 Bug ID: 426700 Summary: Feature Request: Ability to Clear Face Tags from Multiple Selected Images Product: digikam Version: 7.2.0 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Albums-IconView Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: rbshs...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Currently there's no direct ways of clearing face tags from multiple selected images. Clearing all face tags (faces) is only available for a single image in preview mode. Currently I have a mixture of face tags tagged prior to OpenCV dnn implementation (those square shaped tags) and the current OpenCV dnn implementation (more rectangular shaped tags). Often times I have to use "remove tag" in the icon view while multiple select images to do it. This removes the face tags but also the regular tags from the images which in certain cases may not be desired. Would appreciate maybe a "Clearing all faces" features in the context menu in icon view with multi-selected images or any other way the developers deem fit. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 502754] Digikam remains in memory after quitting.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502754 --- Comment #2 from rb2005 --- Further testing revealed that the application does shut down, but the time taken varies. With digikam alone, the shutting down time is about 2min45s. With other memory intensive applications in memory, such as AI photo enhancer launched immediately after quitting digikam, the time taken would be prolonged with a bit of a memory access racing signs. I have to use Task Manager's 'End Task' function to shut down digikam. My concern is would ending digikam this way affect the database integrity since I have a huge database (>100k photos). If this shut down cannot be quicken, perhaps some prompts can be given until the app totally shut down proper. Thanks in advance. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
