Installed the new version and digikam window behave normal when switch between
the two monitors, but the menu titles are compressed on the 4K monitor. Not
visible all words, both in top main menu and in the right side menu. When
enable at "High DPI scaling override" section the "System" option the menus
are ok again.

delete the tumbnails database to rebuild it, but the program crashed again at
25% of the process. When I enter in "Tags" tab in "No tags" mode, the program

There is no log file in the "Local" folder. I observed a new thing: when I
enter in "No tags" mode, and one of the extenal hard drives is not connected to
my computer, digikam is not crashing. I tried on my laptop with windows 10 and
digikam 6.1, and I opened "No tags" mode without crashing with and without the
hard drive connected. After that I updated to 6.3, and now in windows 10
digikam is crashing again in that mode only if the external hard drive is
connected...

[digikam] [Bug 411843] New: More columns for tags list view

more columns in Tags mnager

I started to manage my large image collection with more than 60.000 pics and
realised that it is a very tedious and long process. It is very helpful that in
digikam we could use in the tagging process the list of keywords in two places,
in Tags manager and in the Captions. But it could be even more things to
facilitate the process.

I think it would be very helpful when tagging a large image collection to have
an option for displaying more columns (a toggle option between single and
multicolumn) when the tags list is showed in Tags manager and not only one like
actually. With large tags collection it would be more efficient using the
monitor space for displaying a larger list of options at once, without
scrolling down so much. It would be a grat feature for smaller monitors and
laptops too, but especially with large monitors or dual monitor systems. With
the increasing quantity or images we handle, I think this could be very
helpful.

Another useful feature would be an option to hide/show tag icons in tags
manager.

I attached an example with five columns fitted in a Tags manager window on a
1440x960px secondary monitor. With more resolution it can be even more. What do
you think?

Yes, if not fit all, it would be in bottom a horozontal scroll bar. But many
more (5x or more) tags could be displayed, making more convenient finding the
right one. My opinion is that it would be easier the tagging process - for me,
at last :)

photo" without any result
   Product: digikam
   Version: 6.4.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: ane...@freemail.hu
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Try to change manually the date of a hundreds of photos, where the date and
time was not adjusted correctly. Entering manually the date is working as
expected. I have another set of photos taken in the same date and time, and
tried to apply extracting the correct values from there but not works. Or I
didn`t undertand the functionality of this option?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select images and Ctrl+Shift+D to adjust time & date
2. drag another image with the correct timestamp over the "Determine difference
from clock photo" (or select it opening with the button)
3. The new image appears in a window where the correct timestamp is displayed.
4. Press ok, the window is closing and nothing else happens.

OBSERVED RESULT

The date from the image with correct time is not applied to the images selected
in the first step.
EXPECTED RESULT
The date from the image with correct time have to be applied to the images
selected in the first step.

2020-02-15 Thread anegro
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417696

In Windows also is opened a window with the image, as I wrote, clicking on the
button or drag and drop an image over that. But I thought that the time&date
from here is automatically applied to the other images. It means that I`m wrong
with this and I only have the possibility to enter manually the data?

In the Timestamp Adjustment part are also three options which I don`t
understand how they works: Copy value, Add and Substract. I didn`t find a
detailed explanation in the documentation.

However, entering the values manually works fine, it is a very useful feaure,
thanks for that.
