Once it crashes, it's not starting up anymore (until relogin). When run from the terminal, I get: Trying to use rootObject before initialization is completed, whilst using setInitializationDelayed. You are using a periodic release distro, where new Plasma comes in only very rarely. You can switch to a rolling distro to get it in a timely fashion.
