[kwin] [Bug 485526] New: Kwin effect to magnify window
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485526 Bug ID: 485526 Summary: Kwin effect to magnify window Classification: Plasma Product: kwin Version: 6.0.3 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: effects-window-management Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: bugs.kde@s.bjoern-tantau.de Target Milestone: --- It would be nice for accessibility to have a kwin effect to magnify a window instead of either an area around the mouse cursor or the entire workspace. I would like this effect to scale up the entire window. So a window that is normally 200x100 pixels would take up 400x200 pixels at 200 % magnification. And the content, window decorations and mouse cursor would be bigger as well. Like, instead of having a magnifying area around the mouse cursor the area would be as big as the window and would grow accordingly with the magnification. Ideally one would be able to apply this effect via window rules. That way I could work around apps with poor accessibility options. Especially old Java programs or games and their launchers. For maximized and fullscreen windows I guess it should work like the current workspace zoom. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[picmi] [Bug 422004] New: Improve the experience on touch screens
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422004 Bug ID: 422004 Summary: Improve the experience on touch screens Product: picmi Version: 2.0.0 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: ja...@gruber-linke.de Reporter: bugs.kde@s.bjoern-tantau.de Target Milestone: --- I recently installed picmi on my Pinephone and I quite liked it a lot. It was just unsolvable due to the lack of right clicks. To improve the situation I propose one or both of two changes: 1. Simulate a rightclick on long press. 2. Mark the board as solved when all fields that have to be left clicked have been left clicked. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 403834] New: Window-height of windows on lower monitor gets reduced
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403834 Bug ID: 403834 Summary: Window-height of windows on lower monitor gets reduced Product: plasmashell Version: 5.12.7 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Multi-screen support Assignee: aleix...@kde.org Reporter: bugs.kde@s.bjoern-tantau.de CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 117778 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=117778&action=edit Screenrecording showing the issue When I've got my two monitors setup so that the primary display is below the second monitor and either 1) plug in the second monitor or 2) restart plasmashell with both monitors active then all non-maximized windows on the lower monitor get their height reduced to the minimum. I've setup a minimal height of 50 px because some windows without any decorations were reduced to 1 px height. It also happens if no monitor is setup as primary monitor. It does not happen, when the top monitor is the primary monitor. It also does not happen when the displays are side by side. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Configure two monitors so that one is above the other and setup the lower one to be primary display. 2. Have a non-minimized and non-maximized window on the lower monitor. 3. Kill plasmashell. 4. Start plasmashell. OBSERVED RESULT The window on the lower monitor gets its height reduced. EXPECTED RESULT No window should change dimensions. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 18.04 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.7 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.44.0 Qt Version: 5.9.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Usually I noticed this when connecting a monitor. Only today did I notice that I could reproduce this by restarting plasmashell. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
