[Discover] [Bug 388739] New: Discover sidebar should change width dynamically.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388739 Bug ID: 388739 Summary: Discover sidebar should change width dynamically. Product: Discover Version: 5.11.5 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: aleix...@kde.org Reporter: funkyna...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 109767 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=109767&action=edit Part of application discription is hidden and there is no way to see it, while sidebar takes majority of screen real estate. Current behaviour: Changing the width of the application window does not change the width of the sidebar. If the width of the main window is decreased enough, the width of the main content area becomes less than the sidebar, which leads to part of content becoming inaccessible. I know that if the width is narrow enough the sidebar autohides but it doesn't happen, for example, when the window is snapped to one side of my 1366 pixel wide screen. See screenshot. Expected behaviour: The width of the sidebar should start decreasing as the main window becomes narrow enough and it should keep on decreasing until the content of the sidebar cannot be legitimately displayed, at which point it should autohide. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Discover] [Bug 389798] No way to close the new view containing the list of applications that opens when you click on of the sources in "Settings".
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389798 --- Comment #2 from AS --- I have this problem in 5.12 beta. Running discover from command line does not throw any error. I think the problem is with the UI design as there is no "back" button to close the app list like you have on the app description page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Product: Discover Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: aleix...@kde.org Reporter: funkyna...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I was submitting a review of an application and didn't pay attention that the default rating was set to one. So despite giving a positive review, it would count as negative. I think 3 is a good default. If you are very impressed or very annoyed by an application, you are more likely to remember to give it a rating. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I have various PPAs installed and list of sources on the settings page does not show which is which. All it shows is that they are built for Artful, which is not very helpful considering I know I run Artful. I can't even tell which is official Kubuntu repo and which is from a ppa. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Discover] [Bug 388253] App icons affected by rendering bug in list views
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388253 --- Comment #10 from AS --- > I'll look deep into this issue soon when I get a new laptop with a high dpi screen. I'd point out that issue exists even for my 1366x720 resolution laptop on Kubuntu 17.10. Icon size seems to not be the main culprit here. On Jan 20, 2018 2:43 AM, "Aleix Pol" wrote: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388253 --- Comment #9 from Aleix Pol --- Kirigami is responsible for rendering the icons. That said, it also may be that the icons are too low-res. AppStream only offers resolutions up to 128²px. I'll look deep into this issue soon when I get a new laptop with a high dpi screen. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Discover] [Bug 389648] Suggested tweaks for the settings/sources page
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389648 AS changed: What|Removed |Added CC||funkyna...@gmail.com --- Comment #4 from AS --- Created attachment 110258 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=110258&action=edit There is also no way to close the new view that opens when you click on of the sources. Clicking Settings in the sidebar does nothing. Should I file a separate bug for that? Also while apps available through flatpak are shown when I click on the flatpack repositories, clicking on any of the sources in the "Ubuntu 17.10" section, the opened view say "Sorry, nothing found".
