This enables me to do bulk changes via a text editor, without breaking the project. This works fine, except when I make some changes to them inside the project. After confirming the changes, it always asks me "Do you want to save your changes to the title file or save the changes for this project only?" and I always click "Save to title file", after that it asks "Do you want to embed Images into this TitleDocument?" and I always click "No". Please consider adding default settings for these two dialogs. For example: Save changes for external titles: In the title file|In the project|Always ask Embed Images into external titles: Yes|No|Always ask Always ask would be the default option. [kwin] [Bug 478301] Log spam "drmPrimeHandleToFD() failed: No such file or directory" (Wayland, virtualization)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478301 --- Comment #2 from Stefan Hoffmeister --- The root cause of this is a combination of factors that hit with kwin running in "legacy mode" (this is the default right now due to driver detection and workarounds applied), on the DRM backend: Upon starting the Wayland compositor, output management adds outputs (WaylandCompositor::addOutput). In there, events are connected to handle workspace geometry changes and changes to the cursor (updateCursorLayer, moveCursorLayer). Lambda updateCursorLayer is responsible for handling cursor "content" change. It does that by trying to render a hardware cursor first, and, if that fails, then rendering a fallback. On vmwgfx as of kernel 6.7.0-rc5, trying to render a hardware cursor will *always* fail with "drmPrimeHandleToFD() failed" (and more log messages), and updating the cursor will always enter the fallback path. This causes the log spam. There is a way to disable the attempt to perform hardware cursor rendering: configure environment variable "KWIN_FORCE_SW_CURSOR=1" to enter the (software-based cursor rendering) fallback path immediately. This stops the logspam. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477995 david <12david...@gmail.com> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||12david...@gmail.com --- Comment #10 from david <12david...@gmail.com> --- The issue is with the symbolic icons. With Papirus logout icons, they are all circles with different colors, but when symbolic, the only thing that can be seen is the shape. I would like to have colorful icons, it greatly improves visibility. And normal icons are so much better as they can follow the current color scheme. Customization is one of Plasma's best features, so please don't take it away from us. It would be nice having a tickbox like "Use symbolic icons" (somewhere related to Plasma style). Take a look at Materia-kde theme. It has a colorful and symbolic variant. They both use Papirus icons. Right now, you can't replicate those themes in Plasma 6. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Powerdevil] [Bug 476375] Powerdevil fails to start with ddcutil-2.0.0, spikes cpu usage to max every few seconds
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=476375 --- Comment #54 from holyzo...@trash-mail.com --- Yepp I have a TV attached as well and I am affected by the bug. Speaking of that, I saw that I had a systray there too, where the "Brightness/Powedevil" entry was. I disabled that from systray since I do not need it twice. Now it's only on my primary in systray. And now I can start Powerdevil again with the TimeoutSec workaround. I set it to TimeoutSec=44sec It runs but it has 2 glitches: 1. I can not set the Power Profile (Power Save v Balanced v Performance) in the Plasma session. The systray entry slider slips back. However when I log out and back in, the slider is where I had just wanted to set it and it appears to be working. (in the System Settings > Power Management > Energy Saving, it appears to be the same issue, but there is a 4th option: Leave unchanged. Selecting this does not fix the slider issue I guess. But maybe a good option if you're affected by the bug?) 2. I can set the brightness only for my primary screen. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478994 Dennis changed: What|Removed |Added CC||dennis@thegood.cloud --- Comment #1 from Dennis --- I can't reproduce. Go to settings, display config, unselect "Enabled" on the external monitor. 4. The screen focusses on the built-in screen as expected. No flickering on unexpected behaviour. The monitor tries to find a signal and finding none, it goes into sleep mode. 5. Wait until the display config times out as it does not get a confirmation (takes 15secs). 6. the system defaults to original settings, which has the external display as main and the monitor comes out of sleep mode.
