I tried changing that, but it only seems to apply to individual file previews, not to directory previews. No matter what I set as the limit, directory previews wouldn’t show up on my remote file system. Only upgrading to kio 5.93.0, where the commit was reverted, helped. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

On Fedora Kinoite, all files in /usr are set with the UNIX timestamp of 0. Running plasmashell in a terminal will show that line repeatedly: kf.plasma.core: findInCache with a lastModified timestamp of 0 is deprecated Updating the timestamps on those files and running kbuildsyscoca5 temporarily fixes the issue. This is most likely due to a confusion in: https://api.kde.org/frameworks/plasma-framework/html/theme_8cpp_source.html#l00280 where lastModified is here truly 0 and not left to the default value. An option would be to use 1 instead when looking at a file with a 0 timestamp in the calling code but I have not found where this function is called yet. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Clean icon cache 2. [kdenlive] [Bug 453881] New: Time Remap : Gradually change speed between keyframes (speed ramp)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453881 Bug ID: 453881 Summary: Time Remap : Gradually change speed between keyframes (speed ramp) Product: kdenlive Version: 22.04.1 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: vpi...@kde.org Reporter: hee...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The Time Remap feature cannot be used to make a speed ramp effect, which is for me the ability to gradually change speed between two keyframes. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a keyframe with speed=100% 2. Later in the clip, create another keyframe with speed=200% OBSERVED RESULT When the first keyframe 100% is hit, the playback speed goes instantaneously to 200%. When the second keyframe 200% is hit, the playback speed goes instantaneously to 100%. EXPECTED RESULT The playback speed should increase gradually between the two keyframes : speed should be 150% between the two keyframes. Ideally, this should be controlled with bezier curves... Ok to be fair, the first keyframe is actually [speed before=100% ; speed after=200%] and the second keyframe is [speed before=200% ; speed after=100%] so the observed result makes sense. But I think everybody would expect a "ramp" effect here. Even the documentation is mentioning speed ramp : https://docs.kdenlive.org/en/effects_and_compositions/effects.html#time-remapping-speed-ramps. Yesterday I didn't modify anything in case of activities, even no moved any window from one to another activity. I think I had only update of KFrameworks. Today I run my PC, logged into Plasma session and found that no activities in Activity Switcher, whereas all are present in System Settings: Workspace Behavior -> Activities (check attached screen) and are present title bar menu of any window , but missing in context menu of application icon placed in task bar. Seems was loaded only recently opened activity ("default") and in panel/task bar I found all its linked windows plus one coming from other activity. Please consider in other activities I had also some windows I looked like that: 1. Default: dolphin, konsole, 2 x Firefox, 2 x kwrite, okular, VMware Horizon Client, Tunderbird 2. Entertainment: dolphin 3. Programming: kdevelop, konsole, Firefox Seems konsole coming from "Programming" activity was placed in "Default" activity. Additionally please consider this is not first time I met mess in case of windows linked to activities, happened after turning on PC and log into Plasma session. In the past I found couple time that all windows just was opened in my recent working activity: "Default", and after that needed to move them manually again to proper activities. Described above issue happened first time. I think this issue is not reproducible every time. I didn't test it yet. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. [digikam] [Bug 453888] New: Exiftool display of a malformed tag
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453888 Bug ID: 453888 Summary: Exiftool display of a malformed tag Product: digikam Version: 7.7.0 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Metadata-ExifTool Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: her...@web.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Dear developers I have a *.jpg image which contains a malformed tag. XMP:IntellectualGenre is (from standard point of view) a tag, that should contain one string. In my image it is formatted as a listtype tag (= bag). It contains 2 values. How I came to this is not part of the discussion. When I display all XMP metadata with digiKam 7.7.0 I see the following difference in metadata of mainwindow: - in tab XMP I see for XMP-iptcCore:IntellectualGenre: Genre2, Genre1 (all values) - in tab ExifTool: XMP:IntellectualGenre: Genre2 (only first value). I think it will be a good solution that also in ExifTool tab all avialable values are displayed. For further investigations I feel free to send my testfile to Maik Qualmann. Thanks in advance herb -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kjots] [Bug 453631] Can't open text documents: "The Akonadi personal information management service is not operational" (Kjots should not require the Akonadi PIM service)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453631 --- Comment #3 from Igor Poboiko --- (In reply to myndstream from comment #2) > [...] > Why does an app for writing/reading text require personal information > management tools? How is that relevant to notes-taking? For example, I > wouldn't want an app for notes to have access to my contacts and so on. It > seems to be unnecessary/badly designed and a privacy concern. Because it was originally created as a part of KDE PIM ecosystem. Integration with Akonadi would make sense because it could allow i.e. seamless integration with online services (Kolab, Evernote, NextCloud, Google Keep, whatever), as well as some more advanced features like tags/labels, being able to share notes with your contacts, and so on. Although unfortunately due to lack of manpower most of it is not yet implemented... :( > I don't understand why it can't open plain text files instead of only making > it an option to read/save as maildir. Well, one of the reasons is because it allows for rich text formatting (bold/underline/changing text color/links/inserting pictures/tables/etc), and so it internally uses html-like (Qt Rich Text) format anyways. As for maildir: it seems like historically it was the easiest solution, as maildir support was already implemented inside Akonadi and it fitted the needs. > Which? Anything better than Kate? I submitted this issue because of a major > issue with Kate for note-taking and am looking for a similar app: > https://unix.stackexchange.com/q/702033/233262 Kate is good as a pure plain-text editor, and apps like LibreOffice are better if you need a well-structured large documents (although it's obviously a bit heavy for note taking). For your particular use case I would suggest looking at note taking apps that support markdown format, which is a plain-text format which nevertheless allows for some structure and rich text. Such as QOwnNotes, Joplin, and others. You could find more as well as some articles with comparison of those by googling for "linux markdown note app". > Why would one need to install mysql server for a note-taking app? This is > just very wrong, especially if it's a dependency instead of optional. Indeed it would be an obvious overkill and not the best choice for you if the only application you use from the KDE PIM is KJots. But if you already use KMail / KOrganizer / Kalendar / KAddressBook / etc., and you already have Akonadi and MySQL installed and running, then such a dependency makes no difference. That's what I've started with - it was intended to be a part of KDE PIM ecosystem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
