[kwin] [Bug 400987] XWayland application focus breaks
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400987 --- Comment #36 from Brian --- Can bug priority be changed? This is a pretty big issue, and i think it should get some attention before 5.18. Otherwise, Wayland will continue to be essentially unusable on AMD graphics cards (Vega 8 & 11 APUs, and Radeon RX 400 & 500s from my testing). I've tested it on a bunch of hardware and have reproduced it each time. Intel hardware doesn't seem affected at all. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 412152] [Wayland] cannot start session on anything other than proprietary NVIDIA drivers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412152 --- Comment #21 from Pawel --- Yes, maybe it's a workaround for Plasma Wayland session on AMDGPU, but with this parameters my Plasma (rather applications) are unstable now. I know, that amdgpu.dc=1 is rather not for my GCN2 GPU. With many applications crash often. There're many freezes of Plasma and applications. [yakuake] [Bug 275433] [multi-head] multiple window size issues
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=275433 Nicolas changed: What|Removed |Added CC||nicolas.ho...@gmail.com --- Comment #10 from Nicolas --- Created attachment 123352 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123352&action=edit scaling 1.2, 100% width, 100% height I have the same issue on a x250 (HD Graphics 5500) on plasma 5.17 (but the issue exists already longer..). I've set both height and width to 100%, but yakuake is filling only ~80% of the screen when popping up, scaling is 1.2. If I increase the scaling, the width/height is reduced accordingly. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400987 --- Comment #38 from Brian --- (In reply to Patrick Silva from comment #37) > I use intel hd graphics and this issue affects my system. Ah sorry. I didn't recall the people reporting it on Intel too. As i showed from my comment, it's not easy to detect sometimes because of how random it can be. So it could definitely be some kind of race condition in kwin, or a bug in XWayland. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

If you cant build Latte yourself the only way this could be tracked down is if that bug can be reproduced in my system. It could be Qt 5.14 which is in Beta state, qt may have made a change that creates that situation... no idea... If that is the case when Tumbleweed update its qt version to 5.14 then it may hit me also. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kstars] [Bug 413216] Mosaic tool copies FITS file to job specs, leading to incorrect alignment of mosaic captures
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413216 --- Comment #2 from James Harrison --- (In reply to Jasem Mutlaq from comment #1) > So the coordinates are used for the initial slew to the target. If a FITS > file was specified, then the plate solver would perform the following: > > 1. Solve the FITS file. > 2. Slew the mount to the solution coordinates (center of FITS file). > 3. Captures and image to ensure we are at the coords in #2. > > Does this clears it up for you? That absolutely is the behaviour I am seeing and is expected. However, the mosaic tool should *never* set the FITS attribute in any of the jobs it creates, even if set in the origin job, because the whole purpose of that tool is to calculate the coordinates for each job, and those will *always* differ from the FITS file. Thus leading to the unexpected behaviour of the mosaic tool jobs all imaging the same location, not the mosaic targets. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 413019] Widget positioning is broken when switching to the external monitor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413019 Matthias Freund changed: What|Removed |Added CC||matti...@secure.mailbox.org --- Comment #9 from Matthias Freund --- I'm using KDEneon 5.17.0 with a two monitor setup (1920x1080 and 1280x1024). After the update to Plasma 5.17.0 the widgets begun to resize and move to new positions on my 1280x1024 screen (I only have widgets on this screen). This happens after logging in nearly every time. So I can confirm this bug. (See my screenshots) Question and suggestion: Is it really needed to move the widgets around? I can do this by hand and sometimes it is intended to overlap two widgets. The only case to move a widget by the system is if it floats out of the viewable area. This automatic rezise and move around thing should stripped out of the code in my opinion. Only a suggestion. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=275433 --- Comment #11 from Nicolas --- I've played around a bit, and it seems that the KWindowSyste::workArea() is not working as expected -- at least on scaled (and/or multi-head) setups. What kind of works better is simply returning screenGeometry always in MainWindow::getDesktopGeometry(), it seems to be a bit more reliable, ie. doing the same for wayland and x11: if (m_isWayland || true) { // on Wayland it's not possible to get the work area return screenGeometry; } Then the window will overlap the panel if the height is 100%, but I can set the height to 90%, but then get a working yakuake on dual-screens with scaling -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Most cases where you see stderr it shows a dev handled a bad case. It's also 2 minutes earlier. I think it's the known slideshow wallpaper crash, which will be fixed in 5.17.1 Failing that please run gdb --args /opt/kde5/lib64/libexec/kscreenlocker_greet --testing and fetch a backtrace -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 412102] Open recent documents doesn't load on windows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412102 --- Comment #6 from Larissa --- (In reply to Boudewijn Rempt from comment #5) > Hm, weird... The extra info should help, but I still haven't found a way to > reproduce. The way I think you can reproduce this bug is: 1) Change the location that one of the windows default folders (images, videos, documents, and so on...) points to. That can be done by right click and in the local tab you change the local to another drive. 2) Save the file inside the folder you changed the location it points to. 3) Try to open the file through the recent documents. What I also noticed is that the open recent in the file menu gets disabled, like there were no recent opened files at all. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kscreenlocker] [Bug 413231] Kscreenlocker random crash after inotify_add failure
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413231 --- Comment #2 from Qu Wenruo --- I'm not using the slideshow mode, just a single picture. (with a little long file name with multiple spaces in it) And as I mentioned it's really random, using --testing to start greeter hasn't yet triggered the crash yet (0/10 runs). But has hit it in real world load in both my laptop and desktop more than once. I'll try to catch a crash, but coredumpctl hasn't yet catch any dump yet, which looks pretty strange. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 412102] Open recent documents doesn't load on windows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412102 --- Comment #7 from Boudewijn Rempt --- Hm That would make it a bug in Qt, because it's Qt that handles finding the special folders, like Pictures. Let me search for something like that... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413232 Christoph Cullmann changed: What|Removed |Added CC||cullm...@kde.org --- Comment #1 from Christoph Cullmann --- What does this bug mean? That we shall use Oxygen? I wouldn't try that, as breeze is the currently actively maintained icon set and is more in style with what Win10 has as icons anyways. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
