https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328330 staka...@freenet.de changed: What|Removed |Added Version|4.11.2 |5.7.3 CC||staka...@freenet.de Platform|unspecified |openSUSE RPMs --- Comment #1 from staka...@freenet.de --- I can confirm this bug for Kmail 5.7.3 Plasma 5.12.6 Frameworks 5.45.0 QT 5.9.4 I consider this a bug because: When you have a POP3 account and you e.g. loose your password, after the password reset, a new password is asked when you check for mail (as the first try obviously is not successful). This is good, because it makes it easy for the user to change the password. When the user changes the POP password the coresponding(!) SMTP password is however NOT updated. As also the error message is wrong, talking about a server error, this will lead to unnecessary helpdesk calls. It is also possible, if more accounts change passwords in the same time, that this will create considerable confusion with the user, after the change. What the software does: treats pop3 / smtp accounts of the same server with the same password as separate entities. What the software should do, after changing the POP password (or IMAP password) the software should ask if it shall adapt the password of the SMTP account too, especially if it is set as default smtp account for that user and requires authentication. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kmplayer] [Bug 130652] Backend preference keeps getting ignored
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130652 --- Comment #3 from Stephan Sokolow --- I won't have time to upgrade off Kubuntu 14.04 LTS until early 2019, so I can only test in KMPlayer 0.11.3d (KDE 4.13.3) but here are the results of my testing. KMPlayer seems to function properly when used as a standalone application, but, when used as a KPart inside Konqueror, it doesn't remember the desired backend from file to file. I'm guessing that's what I was observing back in 2006. That, after installing the Xine backend, it became the default that kept getting reset to. Now, it's the MPlayer backend. Hi, frankly, I do not use Konqueror as a web browser often these days. May be a wrong habit :-). As far as I can see Konqueror now follows standard recommendations regarding link colors described here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4774022/whats-default-html-css-link-color and not the settings in the chosen KDE color scheme. It would be helpful if the position of the default style sheet in the file system were revealed on the help pages - but this is another topic... All in all the user has an option to define his/her own link colors - independent of the KDE color scheme. So, in my opinion, the bug can be closed. An improved "help" documentation would be good, however. One could also think about an option for chosing the link color settings from the KDE color scheme. Corrections for XIRR implementation to achieve more accurate values Summary: In the Investment Report, the XIRR() function is used to calculate the annual return. The previous implementation contains some errors that have been corrected with this commit. In addition, if XIRR cannot calculate the annual return to notify the user of this case, an empty column is displayed in the investment report. The basis for this fix is an update of the XIRR implementation from the KOffice project [1], which brings the calculation up to date and a further improvement from the libreoffice XIRR implementation [2] to get more solutions using a two-pass approach. The class CashFlowList has been moved to separate files to have a cleaner separation. The obsolete and unused NPV function has been removed. Tests for XIRR have been extended to check for recognized issues.
