--- Comment #11 from Hugo Pereira Da Costa ---
@Luca
Thanks for reporting the bug.
Now, since breeze code appears nowhere in the bug report, and since breeze devs
(myself), have no idea about kwin effects code, (and breeze itself has no
control about this code) I doubt that reassigning to breeze will help the bug
being fixed.

I would rather leave it assigned to kwin.

Please put me/keep me in cc, so that I get informed by e.g. kwin devs if there
are specific things I should check in the course of investigating/fixing this
bug.

For the record: I use breeze decoration + wobbly window + opengl backgend 2,
and cannot reproduce. (not that it proves anything).

With 6.0.0, we have now a FFMpeg low level metadata parser based on libav C API
for video files database registration.

The Exiv2 video support is not used anymore as this code is buggous and nobody
sound motivated in Exiv2 to finalize the code.

The original post for this file must be fixed now and video metadata support
with ffmpeg must be enough to populate database entries.

up variation in password manager and also with kwallet which bothers me the
most.

However the way to solve this, as workaround is to change user agent to Opera.

Comparism Win Kubuntu & Optimized

Approximately 8 characters from a filename are displayed, which makes
folderview almost unusable.

- Alot of space is wasted above, below and next to a desktop symbol item.
- Table grid layout is unlogic (symbol item has more height instead of more
width)
- Renaming a long filename is a mess (no bigger text box is shown that displays
the whole filename, while navigating with the mouse within the rename text box
a selection is made on the desktop)

Comparism & detailed misaligned pixels displayed in the screenshot.

Overall FV should be verified in terms of visibility, usability & screen space
efficiency.

See also kde_cdemu, a KDE client for CDEmu. It adds an option "Mount image"
into Actions context menu. After mounting plasma shows me a menu with CD
actions, just like it's a real CD.

The drawback is that it requires additional dependency and kernel module.

Hi isaac,

I'm not able to reproduce the problem on Linux Ubuntu (Krita 4 beta), with the
following steps:

(I understand that the starting brush in the video ("A - 6") has appeared after
you deleted the blacklist file).

1) - new document

2) - save new brush preset with the name: "AAA - brush - 444"
3) - change its size + paint something
4) - overwrite brush

5) - quit + start Krita again

6) - paint something
7) - change the brush preset size
8) - overwrite brush

9) - quit + start

Might it be a naming issue in Windows?
Or maybe a brush preset setting? (just wondering...)

   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.12.2
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Screenshot of graphical glitches since upgrade

Hello,

Yesterday, I upgraded several KDE packages to version 5.12.2. Since the upgrade
I have several graphical glitches on my desktop. See attached screenshot.

It might be related to the following error messing in the journal:
kwin_x11[5950]: kwin_scene_opengl: GL_ARB_texture_non_power_of_two and
GL_ARB_texture_rectangle missing

However, deactivating compositor has no effect. Maybe it's something different.
There's some further messages in the journal:

ksplashqml[5240]: Unrecognized OpenGL version
ksplashqml[5240]: Unrecognized OpenGL version
ksplashqml[5240]: QGLXContext: Failed to create dummy context
ksplashqml[5240]: Unrecognized OpenGL version
ksplashqml[5240]: Unrecognized OpenGL version
klauncher[5262]: Connecting to deprecated signal

And many of these:
QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString)
kwin_x11[5297]: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 1008,
resource id: 62914564, major code: 18 (ChangeProperty), m>

Apologies, if this is completely unrelated to kwin_scene_opengl.

It did not appear with Plasma 5.11.5. These are all packages I upgraded:

I first thought this is a Gwenview issue.

I also noticed though that trying to switch desktops by scrolling with the
touchpad (hover the desktop) is also very fast in imprecise.

I even noticed that Latte-Dock had the exact same problem but it got fixed:

I think maybe this bug should be placed in another category and not gwenview.

We can be pretty sure that:
 * the OpenGL driver is irrelevant for this crash

[Falkon] [Bug 391331] New: Backward button is disabled when action "Show Image" from context menu is used

2018-03-03 Thread Juraj
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391331

Bug ID: 391331
Summary: Backward button is disabled when action "Show Image"
from context menu is used
   Product: Falkon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: sgd.or...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello,
backward button is disabled on the tab when action "Show image" from context
menu is used.
It starts to work again when I switch to another tab and back.

Steps to reproduce:
- Open new tab and go to some page with image
- Click on the image with Right Mouse Button
- Select action "Show image"
- Minimal page with the image is displayed
- Backward button is disabled
- Go to another tab and back > Backward button is enabled

I was able to trigger this behaviour only on tabs without backwards history.
So from this perspective it looks like the "Backward" button is not enabled.

[plasmashell] [Bug 391334] New: Global menu does not disappear after minimizing applications

I'm not sure if this is a bug or actually a feature. The menu is still active
in the Global menu area if I minimized the applications by clicking the
minimizing button on the window title bar, while the menu will de-active if I
minimize the application by click the icon/name through the icon-only
task-manager/task manager.

If this is a feature, is is possible to disable it so that the menu in the
Global menu bar disappeared after the application is minimized (no matter by
clicking the button on title bar or through the task manager?

Hi Juraj,
I am unable to reproduce this issue. Can you specify a particular url for which
it doesn't work.

For applications like Konversation which will minimize to system tray. The menu
will still be active even if the close button is clicked.

The menu actually is not functional after the application is minimized even if
it is shown in Global menu area. So I think it's a bug rather than a feature.

[kmymoney] [Bug 391337] New: KMyMoney just upgraded to 5.0.0 and it won`t let me enter a new Payee

2018-03-03 Thread Mark Hunter

Bug ID: 391337
Summary: KMyMoney just upgraded to 5.0.0 and it won`t let me
enter a new Payee
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: 5.0.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: bugtracker
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: mark.s.hun...@bell.net
  Target Milestone: ---

I have found a bug, at least it appears to be, when I enter a different Payee
in it used to ask me if I want to add the Payee and now when I reply Yes it
blanks out the payee, so I tried No and that did the same thing.

Since I am at it, I do not see any options for changing the way the Date looks,
I want it to be mm/dd/. It used to have an option to change that under
settings.

Also, since I am at it, on the old version the fill in list would build as I
type the payee, and then I could choose the one that I want, and it would come
up with a list of old transactions that I could fill in and edit if needed.

Overall, I am not too impressed with the new version, which i had to set the
file to open to start (I think it should pick up previous settings for an
Upgrade, this was almost like a brand new never used it before).

It works on any page, you just need to have tab with no backwards history.
To achieve this you can open link in a new tab.

Google (accounts.google.com) is sending that has no inputs. When you
change user-agent to Opera, it loads older version of sign-in form that is more
sane and actually have inputs, so the detection works in this case.
Outlook seems to not even send the .

I'm not really sure what to do in these cases, as it seems to be impossible to
detect currently. To do so, it would be needed to intercept the outgoing POST
data, which is currently not possible in QtWebEngine.

allegro.pl requires "change" event to be sent when changing value of inputs,
which Falkon is currently not doing. I will fix this one.

Thanks for the report. Most of the things have been reported before and have
received fixes in the meantime. The resp. numbers here on b.k.o are 390232,
390264 and 391048.

Regarding the settings it has been decided to take them out. Please use the KDE
tools that configure your desktop. Change the date to your locale. There was a
report about the position of the currency symbol position that was wrong for
certain locales. That is also corrected.

I agree with you on the quality side. Testing efforts this time were at a bare
minimum due to time constraints. 5.0.1 included the fixes is in the works.

Git commit 0b0b90f778fc53a8513480a233b3f9de96637d76 by Nicolas Fella, on behalf
of Kai Dombrowe.
Committed on 03/03/2018 at 14:17.
Pushed by nicolasfella into branch 'master'.

Fix stuck notifications in the share plugin

Summary:
Android has a rate limit for updating notifications which was reduced
from 50 to 10 updates/sec since Nougat.
The share plugin updates the progress every time the percentage changes.
The final notification update which makes the notification removable,
is ignored if this happens more than 10 times in a second.
This patch reduces the progress updates to a maximum of 10 times per second.

[Breeze] [Bug 391339] New: Cannot use arrow keys in the alt+tab window

2018-03-03 Thread Adrián Avila

Bug ID: 391339
Summary: Cannot use arrow keys in the alt+tab window
   Product: Breeze
   Version: 5.12.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org

  Target Milestone: ---

Cannot use arrow keys in the alt+tab window to select a program, this is a
feature present in all the other DEs like GNOME, also in Windows and MacOS, I
need to press tab every time I need to select another window, using arrow keys
is faster, because I can press UP and select the previous window more easily
instead of cycling over all of them.

A curious fact, cover-switch is the only one than let you use arrow keys in
KDE.

Can you provide a virtualbox vm where the issue can be replicated? Also you
didn't provide a version of KDE.

Let us know if this is still happening.

go to a terminal, make sure you have valgrind installed and then run

killall kdeconnectd; valgrind /usr/lib/kdeconnectd

and try to make it crash, attach the output of valgrind

Can you reproduce this in a vm which can you provide?

If you could build the vm in automated fashion with something like packer
(https://github.com/hashicorp/packer), that would ease reproduction.

Note that if you can't provide a template to reproduce in an automated fashion,
specific versions of *everything* are needed to reproduce.
