The system is named MeanDiff, which systematically finds semantic bugs by differential testing the lifted output of thousands generated x86 and x86-64 instructions. We will be presenting a paper on our system called "Testing Intermediate Representations for Binary Analysis" at ASE 2017. Valgrind's VEX lifter was included in our experiments and in result we have some bugs we would like to report. In our attempt of making the bug reports as concise as possible, we have made issues on your behalf on our Github page below: https://github.com/SoftSec-KAIST/MeanDiff/issues Here the different binary lifters, including yours, are labeled by name. In summary we found 4 unique bugs in VEX lifter. If you have any questions feel free to write us or comment on the Github issues. So, I just copied the description from [333843]: If I lift the pen away from the screen (beyond hovering range) while the cursor is on the canvas, when I put it back down on the canvas, the brush stays frozen where it is and does not move until I move the pen over another part of the screen (other than the canvas). If I lift the pen away while the cursor is anywhere other than the canvas, it works normally when I put it back down. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Hover pen over tablet so that cursor is anywhere on the canvas. 2.Lift pen away completely. 3.Put pen down straight back onto canvas and try to paint. I very frequently run into the issue that after a certain command the keyboard behaves as follows: - Standard keys produce no output - pressing enter (without having typed anything before) enters no newline, but adds the command prompt on the same line again - Ctrl-C correctly inserts a newline - typing a command (+ enter) executes the command. The command itself is not visible, (say ls), but the output of it is. I'm attaching a screenshot to show the behavior. Now, I know this is not enough for anyone to reproduce this. If I find a pattern that reproduces this, I'll post it. In the mean time, is there anything I can do that would give some hints of what is going wrong? But the last year my private IT has changed and the photo collection gained size. So I'm working now a small laptop (befor desktop pc which allot of space) with a ssd which can't store my full photo collection. The Photo collection is on my private Server. Now I just sync the albums I'm currently working with, or I wan't to show someone on my Laptop. This works, but has some not nice side effects. Every time I sync a Album to my laptop it is imported into Digikam and when i remove it, the photos are removed from digikam. To view all pictures in digikam I have setup a remote collection, but this is slow. So I had the Idea to make a new collection, between local and network Collection. So a local Collection, where the elements and thumbnails are not removed if the hole folder is missing. This would allow to select in the nextcloud client the folders which should be offline or local available. Maby someone has an good Idea how to enable to only sync jpg to the local machine while keeping the raw file on the server. This would be a small start of a cloud sync feature. Think further there are a lot nice thinks which could be done. For example integrating the sharing, like it is integrated in dolphin. [kwin] [Bug 384805] cursor jumps upon edge activation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384805 --- Comment #4 from Michael Zanetti --- Hey, so, I've edited screenedge.cpp and commented out the pushback of the cursor, and indeed the issue is gone (obviously at the cost that the one pixel pushback doesn't work any more either). I also tried to add debug prints for the cursor position when it hits the edge and those seem to be correct. Which leads me to believe that the issue must be somewhere on the path of of Cursor::setPos(). Not saying it's necessarily in kwin itself, but at least it seems to happen when writing the position, and not when reading it. I tried to follow the path but I got lost. All the connections to Cursor::posChanged don't seem to actually set the cursor (except in the software cursor case which doesn't seem to be case here, at least I couldn't see the m_softwareCursor path in platform.cpp being triggered) and the drm/x11standalone backends don't actually seem to trigger any cursor position updates, but rather only use that information for the edge glow and such. Hope this helps, not sure where to go from here atm. Br, Michael -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 384850] New: Series of transform mask bugs with large images
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384850 Bug ID: 384850 Summary: Series of transform mask bugs with large images Product: krita Version: 4.0 pre-alpha Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: transform Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: reptilli...@live.com Target Milestone: --- OS being used - Windows 10 x64 Graphic card - NVIDIA Quaddro K4200 RAM Count - 32 RAM Right now, I would like to have time to backtrace these issues or video record the issues to make the issue clear, but now I have time only to give brief details on the issues with transform masks. Please do respond, so that I can be reminded to address these with greater details. 1) When it comes to large images and the transform mask, if you're applying the transform mask to a image that's 5K, and the target image you're putting it on is a image of less than 512x512, it's entirely possible for Krita to completely fail to render the object. I plan to test this on ANGLE build to see if it'll solve issues, but I find it buggy. 2)As with the above issue, sometimes it'll work with 1 transform mask, but if you apply several transform mask, it'll never render. Especially if you're using a image with large amount of data. The issue is likely within NVIDIA card and Krita, and like with both, I'll have to test ANGLE build. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 384843] Brush freezes after lifting stylus pen away from tablet while cursor is on canvas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384843 --- Comment #10 from Alvin Wong --- I'm sorry, are you using a Wacom Cintiq 13HD touch? Do you have external monitors? Because from the tablet log, both the WinTab driver and Qt reported a screen resolution of 5760x2160, but the resolution of a Cintiq 13HD should be only 1920x1080. So this points to a Wacom driver config issue. This issue looks to be similar to bug 384504, and that was a Wacom driver config issue. I'm not sure how the reporter solved it, but it likely involves resetting the Wacom driver settings with the driver utility and messing with the calibration. > > Huh, there's something really wrong with your Wacom configuration. Krita > > isn't getting any tablet events other than TabletEnterProximity and > > TabletLeaveProximity, which means you are not even getting any pressure > > sensitivity. > > Sorry, but I disagree. For me it looks like a Krita issue, because other 3 > graphics editors work with my tablet: Manga Studio (Clip Studio Paint), GIMP > and Photoshop. And all of them are responding to the pressure of the pen. This really just makes the issue more confusing. It could be that those applications are using Windows Ink instead of WinTab, but there shouldn't be any reasons why it works in Windows Ink but not WinTab, unless the Wacom driver screwed up (again). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 384843] Brush freezes after lifting stylus pen away from tablet while cursor is on canvas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384843 --- Comment #12 from Dmitry Sankov --- (In reply to Alvin Wong from comment #10) > I'm sorry, are you using a Wacom Cintiq 13HD touch? Yes, I use Wacom Cintiq 13HD touch. > Do you have external monitors? Yes. > Because from the tablet log, both the WinTab driver and Qt > reported a screen resolution of 5760x2160, but the resolution of a Cintiq > 13HD should be only 1920x1080. So this points to a Wacom driver config issue. 5760x2160 - is a sum resolution of all monitors: One, main (3840x2160) - on the left side, and two on the right side: TV (1920x1080) and Cintiq (1920x1080). Cintiq is below the TV in the virtual space. That is why resolution = 5760x2160 > This issue looks to be similar to bug 384504, and that was a Wacom driver > config issue. I'm not sure how the reporter solved it, but it likely > involves resetting the Wacom driver settings with the driver utility and > messing with the calibration. > > This really just makes the issue more confusing. It could be that those > applications are using Windows Ink instead of WinTab, but there shouldn't be > any reasons why it works in Windows Ink but not WinTab, unless the Wacom > driver screwed up (again). This is good for the kind of images most people work with, but not ideal for very small, pixel-art type images. We could disable that for small images, of course, but that needs a bit of work.
