https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376978 --- Comment #4 from Lukáš Doktor --- Well this is not really a duplicate as that user claims it works on images. For me it does not open images, nor videos. I tried the Digikam-5.5.0-01 from https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzeiVr-byqt5Y0tIRWVWelRJenM which does not even produce the: /usr/bin/eog: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libharfbuzz.so.0: undefined symbol: FT_Reference_Face" lines, there are only the few: XmbTextListToTextProperty result code -2 produced after the right-click. [kmag] [Bug 377551] Kmag Black mouse cursor indistinguishable on dark UI elements
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377551 --- Comment #1 from Zargoth --- I've found this old ubuntu bug report of the same problem. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdeaccessibility/+bug/281469 It was decided not to change it, someone reasoned that visually impaired users use white UIs anyway. I want to argue that in the meantime, a lot of GUIs have become black by default and its better to have a cursor icon that's compatible with all types of interfaces. so I'd say change the icon so it works everywhere. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[marble] [Bug 370263] Gpx files open but nothing is displayed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370263 --- Comment #11 from Olivier Carton --- Now that have realized that the track is indeed drawn, I think that there is another issue. In older version of Marble (1.9.2 for instance), loading a GPX file (directly in Marble or from Dolphin) makes Marble zoom in and change the focus so that the track uses most of the window and is really visible. In Marble 2.1.0, the focus is not changed and the view is still on the starting view of the globe. This has two effects. + this lack of feedback from Marble lets the user think that the track has not been drawn. + the user must know where the track is on earth because Marble does not zoom on it. This is even made more difficult by the fact that the track is barely visible. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 377552] New: Pressing navigating layers in rename mode (F2) deselects the layer name
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377552 Bug ID: 377552 Summary: Pressing navigating layers in rename mode (F2) deselects the layer name Product: krita Version: 3.1.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Layer Stack Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: nathan.lovato@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- When you use F2 to rename multiple layers in a row (using tab or Pg down and F2 again), the layer name always gets deselected. The ability to rename layers with F2 is a great feature to export the individual layers that make up a Krita document, be it for Spriter, Blender or anything else. But in the current state, you always have to press Ctrl A or Ctrl Shift Left arrow to select the layer name, which isn't very convenient. Naming layers is part of a game artist's daily routine, and here's how I'd like to use the tool: 1. Enter isolate layer mode 2. Press F2 and rename the first layers 3. Press tab, name the layer, rinse and repeat Steps for the "bug": 1. In a document with multiple layers 2. Press F2 to rename the currently selected layer 3. Press Tab or Shift Tab to move to the next/previous layer 4. After a short delay, the layer name gets deselected and the typing cursor is placed at the end of the layer name -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364676 Jarosław Staniek changed: What|Removed |Added CC||stan...@kde.org --- Comment #1 from Jarosław Staniek --- I can confirm it for openSUSE 42.1 and updated 42.2. Therefore the issue looks like an universal trouble because my OS and hardware is different than the above. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a PDF file. Actual Results: identical as above. It happens without even running the presentation mode. No way to restore the display or detecting it again (which is primary so the issue breaks the usage) even AFTER restart. The only way is turning off, waiting 2 seconds and booting again. It's a new behavior that started with KF5-based Okular for me. It has never been the case for kdelibs-based Okular. Possible workaround (may be handy for actual users that want their productivity back): - harder: associate another PDF reader such as Evince (harder because there's no universal way to associate applications with extensions on Linux - all different for browsers, Plasma, mc...), optionally enable PDF preview directly in the browser. - simpler but radical: uninstall Okular completely, use other PDF readers until the issue is fixed -- More info on my software/hardware: 4.4.49-16-default #1 SMP Sun Feb 19 17:40:35 UTC 2017 (70e9954) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0116] (rev 09) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. This is both wrong grammar and wrong wording. Correct: "Hier sollten alle Geräte im selben Netzwerk angezeigt werden, auf denen KDE-Connect läuft". Please especially note the difference between "selbes Netzwerk" and "gleiches Netzwerk". The latter is in fact wrong here, despite called "colloquial" for political correctness. Further in the menu: "Geräte nach IP hinzufügen" should be: "Geräte nach IP-Adresse hinzufügen" as "IP" is highly colloquial and vague. The button on the page is also wrong: "RECHNER/IP HINZUFÜGEN" should be "RECHNER/IP-Adr. HINZUFÜGEN" or just "HINZUFÜGEN" , because the description above should be sufficient. The help text: "Use this option only if your device is not automatically detected. Enter IP address or hostname below and touch the button to add it to the list. [frameworks-ktexteditor] [Bug 377562] New: protecting against accidental zooming
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377562 Bug ID: 377562 Summary: protecting against accidental zooming Product: frameworks-ktexteditor Version: unspecified Platform: Compiled Sources OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: rjvber...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- This is something I've brought up before but never with a real determination to address the issue myself: With Qt's default shortcut/action mapping, text editor documents built on KTextEditor are prone to be victim of accidental zooming. Qt's standard for this is Ctrl-Wheel events. This means that systems with a trackpad that use 2-finger scrolling and scroll inertia may cause text zooming when the user holds presses the Ctrl key to trigger a shortcut (say, Ctrl-S to save the current document) before coasting has stopped completely. The end of coasting isn't always clear: scroll events may continue to come in with sub-threshold deltas, or when the view has already reached its extreme position and can scroll no further. Qt itself has a form of protection against this kind of annoyance on Mac and possibly other systems where inertial scrolling has better platform support than under X11. But it's not very difficult to implement a similar protection under X11; a proof of concept designed by Thomas Lübking and me: https://github.com/RJVB/qtwheeltest/blob/master/wheeltest.cpp I'd appreciate it if someone could have a look at and comment this approach before I start integrating it with KTextEditor (if at all possible, I haven't checked that yet). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 363224] Kwin crashes from time to time (this time using Virtual Machine Manager)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363224 --- Comment #56 from ras...@gmail.com --- As I said before, the crashing only happens if I have the Translucency or Dialog Parent effects enabled. Now I can confirm that it only crashes if these effects are enabled AND I'm using the Plastik theme. It doesn't crash when using Breeze or Oxygen, even with these effects. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[bindings] [Bug 377563] New: perlqt-4.14.3: qtgui/t/networkfortune.t test hangs because of IPv6
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377563 Bug ID: 377563 Summary: perlqt-4.14.3: qtgui/t/networkfortune.t test hangs because of IPv6 Product: bindings Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kde-bindi...@kde.org Reporter: ppi...@redhat.com Target Milestone: --- When running perlqt-4.14.3 tests, qtgui/t/networkfortune.t hangs here: $ perl -I/home/test/fedora/perl-Qt/perlqt-4.14.3/build/blib/{arch,lib} /home/test/fedora/perl-Qt/perlqt-4.14.3/qtgui/t/networkfortune.t Config: Using QTest library 4.8.7, Qt 4.8.7 ok 1 - Window shown PASS : NetworkFortuneTest::initTestCase() and a dialog window about "connection refused by peer" error appears. The reason is that the testing server listens on IPv4 0.0.0.0 address, but the client having "Localhost" host name (qtgui/examples/network/fortuneclient/Client.pm:69) connects to IPv6 ::1, receives ECONNREFUSED and does not retry next associated Localhost address, IPv4 127.0.0.1, that would succeed. This is probably bug in Qt::TcpSocket::connectToHost() (called from sub requestNewFortune() in fortuneclient/Client.pm). It gives up on first connection error instead of trying all addresses resolved from given host name. Simple workaround in the the Perl binding tests is to connect to 127.0.0.1 instead of Localhost. But I think the real bug is Qt library and it should be fixed there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
