Let me try to get the messy things out of the way first: This is about the changing of the order of virtual desktops in the desktop grid. Similar in appearance to the Desktop grid feature that allows to "Swap all windows on one virtual Desktop with all windows on another virtual Desktop by drag and drop". How should I call that feature? The problem: - Multiple desktops swap position for no apparent reason sometimes when I use the grid plugin. The rest of that mess I wrote mostly describes: - How I tried to reproduce it systematically and failed - How I tried to make sure I'm not using the [drag&drop feature for whole Desktops] by accident. - That I have no exact idea how this happens, mostly because it seems to happen only a few times per day when I work on something complicated and use the grid plugin hundreds of times over the course of many hours. Steps to reproduce: 1: Use grid plugin a lot 2: I don't know, it just happens sometimes. This can explained as you left click on the vertical scroll bar and the move it. But after releasing the button the desktop will release mouse point from the bar which results in a constant up and down move while you moving the mouse pointer over the desktop. This behavior can probably provocated again if you use a mouse, moving an clicking with it and at the same time you "click" on the touchpad errounessly while typing simultanously. However... when testing the scroll in an actual desktop window, the scrolling actually had reversed. To be clear, the bug is only for the Testing Area in KCM. I'm not sure how check the currently installed version of this, but it's the latest after apt upgrade. This could be a problem with either your distribution or something wrong in the last running playlist, but sadly you do not have debugging symbols in your backtrace to make it useful. To produce a valid backtrace, you need to recompile Amarok with debugging enabled, as your distribution does not provide debugging packages. More explicitely - start drag - pass over the arrow of the path of the target view - menu raises - move down along the menu - move left of right back to the target view and drop This crashes almost systematically (at least 1 every two times) Now, this happens also if I use any other widget style for dolphin than breeze. Can you try with "dolphin -style fusion" ? if happens also: not a breeze bug.
