Re: DB4 ERROR DB_RUN...last quest ?
Hello, I am refering to Sleepycat Berkeley db. Im not a cyrus-expert, i have configured a default-installation my mailbox-format is like /var/spool/imap/user/testuser^domain^com (unixhierarchysep) I thought that is the cyrus-mailbox-format or not? Is it berkley-db? Berkley_db i thought is /var/mail/user1 /var/mail/user2 or /in/users/home/user1/mail/ No. This is cyrus mailbox list database: /var/imap/mailboxes.db Yes ihave this to. ll /var/imap/ insgesamt 11536 drwxr-xr-x2 cyrusmail 4096 Dez 12 01:52 db drwx--2 cyrusmail 46 Feb 22 2003 db.backup1 drwx--2 cyrusmail 46 Feb 22 2003 db.backup2 -rw---1 cyrusmail 1212416 Dez 13 12:17 deliver.db -rw-r--r--1 root root 4693 Apr 12 2003 imap.com-gate.com_cert.pem -rw-r--r--1 root root 887 Apr 12 2003 imap.com-gate.com_key.pem drwxr-xr-x2 cyrusmail6 Feb 17 2003 log -rw---1 cyrusmail69632 Dez 13 12:17 mailboxes.db But , did i use both formats ? And if this so, could i disable berkeley-format ? ??? Sorry for this question I do not think many people use berkeley db for mboxlist. I suggest that you switch to skiplist for mboxlist. While you are at it upgrade cyrus-(imap|sasl) to the latest versions. Yes, i use now cyrus-imapd-2.1.10 with virtual_user and virtual_domains. This is still a very old version of cyrus-imapd. The latest release is 2.1.16. How often o have to update cyrus ? This Version is now 12 monts old best regards Achim

Given that I know the path of a Cyrus mailbox, is it possible to move a mail into a sub-folder of this mailbox using a .procmailrc recipe? Many thanks, Geoff
Re: plus addressing issues (puremessage followup question)
Hi have you played with the OperatorChars option in sendmail ? by default it contains the "+" separator : O OperatorChars=.:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/[]+ try to remove it ... Paul Schiro a écrit : Andrew, No dice. Didn't break anything, but didn't fix the issue either. Good suggestions though, thanks! I guess we'll just have to continue handling quarantine manually -- Paul Schiro Sr. Systems Engineer American Select <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 720-280-7023 - Original Message - From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Paul Schiro" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "cyrus info" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, October 24, 2003 9:38 AM Subject: Re: plus addressing issues (puremessage followup question) On Fri, 24 Oct 2003 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: So does anyone in the group have any suggestions for completely disabling plus address handling in the cyrusv2 mailer, or anything else that might alleviate my puremessage quarantine release woes? I do _not_ need [EMAIL PROTECTED] functionality, or [EMAIL PROTECTED] or any of that to work. We don't use that stuff at all and never plan to. I just would like sendmail to be able to handle plus addresses as though it was using a typical delivery agent. Any suggestions would be appreciated. -- Paul Schiro Sr. Systems Engineer American Select <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 720-280-7023 Probably not an answer at all, but... if you were using postfix instead of sendmail I would be able to tell you that you can disable the delimiter '+' in the configuration files of the postfix application. Since you are not using postfix, I can only suggest that you might look at disabling the delimiter in the sendmail application. That will force the address [EMAIL PROTECTED] to be rejected rather than processed to [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Paul, I think you want to look at turning off "preserve_local_plus_detail" in your sendmail configuration. See: http://www.sendmail.org/m4/features.html#preserve_local_plus_detail for details. I would strongly recommend testing this before using it in production, since I'm not sure what else turning this off will do. A line like: define(`_PRESERVE_LOCAL_PLUS_DETAIL_', 0) after the line that defines cyrus2 as your local mailer in your mc file certainly seems to take out plussed-user support. Hope this helps, but if it eats all of your email and causes your server to disapparate, my employer and I are not liable. :) -- Andrew Caird -- Laurent Larquère - Signature Laurent Larquère AAcom - L'Informatique communicante Responsable Systèmes 120 rue du Marin Blanc - Z.I. les Paluds - 13685 Aubagne Cedex Tél : 04 42 72 19 03 Tél : 04 42 72 65 69 - Fax : 04 42 72 65 68 Cell : 06 89 77 37 51 http://www.aacom.fr
