Quotas
Quick question - How come I can only set mailbox quotas when logged into the IMAP server as root? Does Cyrus use Linux's filesystem quotas? I need to create a website that I can use to remotely create and administer mailboxes, and I'm not putting the root password into a PHP script. -- JustThe.net LLC - Steve "Web Dude" Sobol, CTO - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Donate a portion of your monthly ISP bill to your favorite charity or non-profit organization! Re: Quotas
Steve, You dont need root permission to edit mailbox quotas. You do need to have the username and password of a Cyrus administrator (usually cyradm) though. You would need to have that to add and remove mailboxes anyhow, so I doubt youll get around that. From the way you ask your question, it sounds like you have the root user set up as the Cyrus administrator. It doesnt need to be that way. Create a totally new user and then specifiy it in your imapd.conf rather than root. If you need an example of the config file, Id be happy to send one. I apologize if I misunderstood you. : - ) - Matt - Original Message - From: "Steven J.
