Doesn't compile with USE=-ipv6. It compiles and works fine otherwise.
I've taken maintainership and applied the patch on the bug (thanks
David Haller) to fix the compilation issue.

Just to be pedantic:

You can usually only be arrested for felonies and misdemeanors.

Ignoring a stop sign and most traffic related offenses in general are
infractions or violations. For those, you just get cited with a nasty
ticket and an annoying fine.

[gentoo-dev] net-misc/r8168 up for grabs

2017-07-15 Thread James Le Cuirot
I no longer have a motherboard with this hardware. Towards the end I
found that the mainline r8169 driver worked anyway, even though it
didn't used to. There are still some revisions of the hardware that
don't work with the mainline driver.

The package is fairly low maintenance. The driver sometimes breaks
following new kernel releases but Realtek usually put out a new driver
by the time the next release comes around. You can sometimes find
patches floating around the community before that.

[gentoo-dev] Call for help in testing - sparc + gnutls-3.5

2017-07-15 Thread Alon Bar-Lev
Hello,

I am looking for someone that is using gentoo on sparc and is willing to
help out to resolve an issue[1] of gnutls-3.5 with sparc so that we can
drop gnutls-3.3 from tree.

I tried to create a bootable sparc qemu gentoo image and failed, so need
someone with a live system.

Regards,
Alon

I'll take it and its dev (dev-python/pygame_sdl2).

The funniest stuff about RenPy that native build allows to run
almost any RenPy games, even if they don't have Linux version built.

I don't think our sparc box has been fixed (down since March).
Otherwise I would continue helping.

I'll ask in #gentoo-sparc for help.
