[Bug gcov-profile/113101] New: compilation crash with option --coverage

2023-12-20 Thread jiahaoxiang.hust at gmail dot com via Gcc-bugs
https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=113101

Bug ID: 113101
Summary: compilation crash with option --coverage
   Product: gcc
   Version: 11.4.0
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: P3
 Component: gcov-profile
Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org
Reporter: jiahaoxiang.hust at gmail dot com
CC: marxin at gcc dot gnu.org
  Target Milestone: ---

I tried to compile this C program with the --coverage option and the
compilation resulted in an error. The root cause might be the large array size.
The error can not be triggered under a smaller array.

I tried to collect the coverage information of these two programs. When
compilation with --coverage, the binary execution resulted in segmentation
fault. However, if we remove --coverage, the binary works well.
