[e-users] About e16 feature ?
Hi everybody ! I would like to know if it is possible to have "fixed" applications on startup : for exemple Eterm with a fixed geometry on startup on virtual desktop 1, firefox on virtual desktop2, mozilla-thunderbird on virtual desktop3, and so on as soon as I boot my computer. By, the way, I would like to have different backgrounds on *virtual* desktop. Is that possible ? My last question is : which documentations about enlightenment do you recommand ? Thanks very much, Cheers, Pascal --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases. Create drag-&-drop reports. Save time by over 75%! In general this is easy. Use the border Right-Click (or window Alt-Right-Click) -> "Remember..." dialog. However, mozilla, firefox, and thunderbird are annoying because "Restart application on login" only will work if all kinds of path stuff is set up. This is normally done when you run e.g. the "mozilla" script, which in turn starts "mozilla-bin". Asking e16 to restart the application will make it call mozilla-bin, which will fail. How to soluce that ? By, the way, I would like to have different backgrounds on *virtual* desktop. Is that possible ? No. OK. Is that feature available on E17 ? My last question is : which documentations about enlightenment do you recommand ? First of all, try Middle-Click -> Help. Requires that the enlightenment-docs package is installed. [e-users] about e16 : some questions
Hi ! I have E 0.16.7.3 under Debian Sid. I have many questions about enlightenment 1) On which package is the documentation ? All my packets connected with e16 seem to be installed on my computer, but nothing appears when I click on the Help Enlightenment menu. 2) On which webpage can I found a changelog between E 0.16.7.3 and E.0.16.8 ? I wonder if there are small new features :-) 3) Are epplets compatible with e 0.16.8 ? I can't install them on 0.16.8 because they depend of the lowest version... 4) I have only one desktop, but many virtual desktop. When E starts, how can I have automaticly launch firefox on my first virtual desktop, thunderbird on my second virtual desktop, etc ? Thank your for your reply and for all the work about E development. Pascal --- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
