I'm trying to figure out why elfutils started failing to compile on OSS-Fuzz.
https://oss-fuzz-build-logs.storage.googleapis.com/index.html#elfutils.
According to `git bisect` the first commit where it started failing with that
particular error was

but trying to reproduce it locally I ran into another build failure:

The script configuring elfutils there runs

On a somewhat related note I can't seem to find any notifications from OSS-Fuzz
on the elfutils mailing list:
https://sourceware.org/pipermail/elfutils-devel/2024q3/thread.html. Could it be
that they bounced? Or should it be reported to OSS-Fuzz that their
notifications haven't been sent?
