 YOUR SUCCESS GUIDELINES

Follow these guidelines to guarantee your success:

If you do not receive at least 10 orders for Report #1 within 2 weeks, continue
sending e-mails until you do.

After you have received 10 orders, 2 to 3 weeks after that you should receive 100
orders or more for REPORT #2. If you did not, continue advertising or sending e-mails
until you do.

Once you have received 100 or more orders for Report #2, YOU CAN RELAX, because the
system is already working for you, and the cash will continue to roll in! THIS IS
IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: Every time your name is moved down on the list, you are placed
in front of a Different report. You can KEEP TRACK of your PROGRESS by watching which
report people are ordering from you. IF YOU WANT TO GENERATE MORE INCOME SEND ANOTHER
BATCH OF E-MAILS AND START THE WHOLE PROCESS AGAIN. There is NO LIMIT to the income
you can

generate from this business!!!

++

FOLLOWING IS A NOTE FROM THE ORIGINATOR OF THIS PROGRAM: You have just received
information that can give you financial freedom for the rest of your life, with NO
RISK and JUST A LITTLE BIT OF EFFORT. You can make more money in the next few weeks
and months than you have ever imagined. Follow the program EXACTLY AS INSTRUCTED. Do
Not change it in any way. It works exceedingly well as it is now. Remember to e-mail
a copy of this exciting report after you have put your name and address in Report#1
and moved others to #2 thru #5 as instructed above. One of the people you send this
to may send out 100,000 or more e-mails and your name will be on every one of them.
Remember though, the more you send out the more potential customers you will reach. So
my friend, I have given you the ideas, information, materials and opportunity to
become financially independent. IT IS UP TO YOU NOW!

  MORE TESTIMONIALS

"My name is Mitchell. My wife, Jody and I live in Chicago. I am an accountant with a
major U.S. Corporation and I make pretty good money. When I received this program I
grumbled to Jody about receiving "junk mail". I made fun of the whole thing, spouting
my knowledge of the population and percentages involved. I "knew" it wouldn't work.
Jody totally ignored my supposed intelligence and few days later she jumped in with
both feet. I made merciless fun of her, and was ready to lay the old "I told you so"
on her when the thing didn't work. Well, the laugh was on me! Within 3 weeks she had
received 50 responses. Within the next 45 days she had received total $
147,200.00all cash! I was shocked. I have joined Jody in her "hobby".

"Not being the gambling type, it took me several weeks to make up my mind to
participate in this plan. But conservative that I am, I decided that the initial
investment was so little that there was just no way that I wouldn't get enough orders
to at least get my money back". "I was surprised when I found my medium size post
office box crammed with orders. I made $319,210.00 in the first 12 weeks. The nice
thing about this deal is that it does not matter where people live. There simply isn't
a better investment with a faster return and so big".

[Dri-devel] ATI Radeon fifo problem...

2002-12-10 Thread dri-devel
Hi,

I am attempting to get DRI/DRM working on my laptop. The problem is that when I
attempt to enable acceleration, X attempts to start, but I see a corrupted screen -
the mouse is incorrect, the background is corrupted and none of the applications in my
".xsession" start up. Without acceleration, X works fine, but unaccelerated. When I
inspect the XFree86.0.log file for the accerlerated I see at the end:

RADEON(0): FIFO timed out, resetting engine...

Followed by a number of lines stating the sub-systems are being reset and timed out.
My system info:

HP Pavillion ze4125 laptop.
Distribution: Debian Sid, up-to-date.
Kernel: version 2.4.20 with ACPI patch.
XFree86: "HEAD" CVS downloaded on 8th Dec 2002.
DRI: radeon-20021208-linux.i386.tar
"lspci -v" output for video card:

01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility U1 (prog-if 00
[VGA])
Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company: Unknown device 0024
Flags: bus master, stepping, fast Back2Back, 66Mhz, medium devsel, latency 66,
IRQ 10
Memory at e800 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M]
I/O ports at 9000 [size=256]
Memory at e010 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
Expansion ROM at [disabled] [size=128K]
Capabilities: [58] AGP version 2.0
Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2

I have checked that dma is enabled using setpci, which it is. Also I saw the same
problem with older DRI drivers and older XFree86 versions (well version 4.2.1 & up).
When I omit the "ChipID" entry for the Radeon "Device" entry in "XF86COnfig-4" I get
kernel panics at the point when the driver attempts to identify the chip. I've tried
ids of "0x4242" (Radeon 9000 I think), "0x4c59" (Radeon Mobility M6 LY AGP) and
"0x4c5a" (Radeon Mobility M6 LZ AGP), both have the same result - the above problem. I
note that the "Radeon Mobility U1" does not appear in the list of supported cards. Is
it supported?

I also note that in my "kern.log" I see the following message:

Dec 10 11:12:58 marvin kernel: agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 408M
Dec 10 11:12:58 marvin kernel: agpgart: unsupported bridge
Dec 10 11:12:58 marvin kernel: agpgart: no supported devices found.

The "lspci -v" for the AGP is:

00:01.0 PCI bridge: ATI Technologies Inc U1/A3 AGP Bridge [IGP 320M] (rev 01) (prog-if
00 [Normal decode])
Flags: bus master, 66Mhz, medium devsel, latency 99
Bus: primary=00, secondary=01, subordinate=01, sec-latency=68
I/O behind bridge: 9000-9fff
Memory behind bridge: e010-e01f
Prefetchable memory behind bridge: e800-efff

Is it possible that my problems are simply due to the fact that:

a) The AGP bridge is unsupported in the kernel module. This would lead to the X
driver in accelerated mode showing a fifo timeout anyway. (As the fifo is never
emptied, as the video card is not servicing requests from it.)
b) The ATI Mobility U1 is sufficiently different from the other ATI Mobility chips to
cause a kernel panic on auto-detect.
c) Thus the ATI Mobility U1 graphics chip is unsupported anyway, even if the kernel
module worked.

Or have I just got my configuration wrong? Can anyone advise me how I will get DRI/DRM
to work on my hardware?

Thanks,

Jason.

My mistake - what I mean by "accerleration" is putting the entry 'Option "accel"' in
the 'Section "Device"' portion of my "XF86Config-4" file for the ATI Radeon video
driver. Having "accel" here causes the problems (as various extra features are loaded)
as opposed to having "noaccel" here, when these extra features are not loaded. (In
this case "extra features" refers to things that pertain to using various hardware
features to speed up the display.)

I have seen an email on the "debian-laptops" list between (I suspect) some kernel
developers referring to the "ATI IGP 320" hardware stating that it was currently not
totally supported. (I think they said something like "ATI have not released the specs.
yet, so the support has to be implemented the hard way.) My machine is an HP Pavillion
ze4125 notebook. Thus is it possible tha the chipset is an integrated one. The laptop
manual implies it is an "integrated" chipset (for some definition of "integrated",
which it does not specify...).

When I use "agp_try_unsupported=1" I get the same message in "kern.log":

Dec 15 12:07:17 marvin kernel: Linux agpgart interface v0.99 (c) Jeff Hartmann
Dec 15 12:07:17 marvin kernel: agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 408M

Again, my mistake for being unclear. When the option "accel" is used, and I start
XFree (using "startx"), I see the screen switch to tty7, but stay blank. After a few
seconds a single short beep is emitted. Then the caps-lock leds flashes on and off.
The system stops responding to keyboard input and does not respond to ssh requests,
not orderly shutdown (but ctrl-alt-backspace or ctrl-alt-delete or a brief press on
the power button). Hence the kernel is no longer responding. When I reboot and look in
the XFree.log file, it ends at the point when the list of the supported ATI chipsets
is printed and the entries where the driver is attempting to load the ATI driver. Thus
I presume that at this point the ATI software is loaded which has to identify the
chipset and this detection mechanism causes the freeze.

I have also tried a "chipid" of 0x4966 (Radeon 9000) in the "XF86Config-4" file with
the "Option" "accel" and this suffers the same timeout on the FIFO error. (I read a
report that the Radeon Mobility U1 was supposed to be software-compatible with this
chip.)

Regards,

Jason.

[Dri-devel] Radeon 9000 patch

2002-10-29 Thread dri-devel . sourceforge
Hi

With an old binary snapshot (over a month old) I got my Radeon 9000 Pro card working
with XFree86 including DRI support. This was achieved by setting the ChipId in the
XF86Config file to 0x4242.

I noticed that the latest drivers actually recognise the card (RV250_If), but that DRI
is disabled, so I created the attached patch against CVS from 20021026. This gets DRI
working on my system using the r200 DRI driver. It's not perfect, but it works.
Thought you might like to apply the patch so others can have DRI on the Radeon 9000
and 9700 cards.

Regards.

Scott Harrison.

Re: [Dri-devel] Radeon 9000 Trials and Tribulations

2002-11-02 Thread dri-devel . sourceforge
Hi

I don't know much about 3D or the ATI graphics cards, but I can tell you how I got the
DRI CVS to work with my ATI 9000 Pro card (ID 4966).

First I took the source to XFree86 4.2.0 compiled and installed, I then checked out
the latest DRI source from CVS. Applied my patch, then make World, make install. I
then had to do "chmod -R ugo+rX /usr/X11R6" to get the permissions right on the
drivers. Then in the DRI CVS tree I went into
xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/os-support/linux/drm/kernel did a "make -f
Makefile.linux" and copied the radeon.o to /lib/modules/x.y.z/kernel/drivers/char/drm
and ran "depmod -a". I then installed agpgart kernel module followed by radeon, then
started X. Then when I run glxgears it works great.

To get the DRI permissions set right add the following to the bottom of your XF86
Config file

Section "DRI"
   Mode 0666
EndSection

Problems:

I do have problems with the 3D support, as I said it is not perfect. I use the 3D to
run WarCraft III under Wine in opengl mode, I haven't tried any other programs. The
problems I get are, if I try to move the window in which Warcraft starts it will
completely lock up the graphics card. The only way of getting any picture back on the
monitor is by rebooting. Also some of the 3D objects don't always appear properly and
can partially appear then disappear, I have also seen some flashing colors. However,
This isn't significant enough to make the game unplayable, in fact it is still very
playable.

[Dri-devel] Problems with MOHAA spearhead under wine on ATI 128.

2003-09-03 Thread dri-devel . sourceforge
Hello

I'm not sure that you will be too interested in this problem, but here goes...

I am running xfree86 4.3.0 with the ATI 128 drivers from 2nd Sept. I am trying to run
Medal of Honor Allied Assault with the Spearhead expansion pack under the August wine
drop. If I disable hardware opengl then the game runs fine (although extreemely
slowly), running with hardware acceleration gives an error "Bad getprocaddress" from
the program.

Now obviously this isn't enough for you guys to try and debug the problem, unless of
course you have encountered similar problems, so where do I start in trying to debug
the problem ? I was thinking it might be possible to replace some of the API in the
hardware version with the software opengl, but I wouldn't know where to start. Is
there an easy way of recompiling the hardware drivers with debug enabled ?

Thanks

Scott Harrison
