https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=53574

  Priority: P2
Bug ID: 53574
  Assignee: dev@tomcat.apache.org
Summary: metadata-complete="true" and servlet defined as jsp
not working
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: m.han...@netpr.pl
  Hardware: PC
Status: NEW

 Component: Catalina
   Product: Tomcat 7

We have a servlet defined as

VersionInfoServlet
/WEB-INF/svnrevision.jsp

and mapped as

VersionInfoServlet
/svnrevision

It worked fine. Then we changed metadata-complete to "true", and from now on we
receive

[jira] [Created] (MTOMCAT-170) Unable to Specify Additional Classpath for WAR Defined via "webapps" Declaration

2012-07-20 Thread Josh Harness (JIRA)
Josh Harness created MTOMCAT-170:

Summary: Unable to Specify Additional Classpath for WAR Defined
via "webapps" Declaration
 Key: MTOMCAT-170
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MTOMCAT-170
 Project: Apache Tomcat Maven Plugin
  Issue Type: Bug
  Components: tomcat7
Affects Versions: 2.0
Reporter: Josh Harness
Assignee: Olivier Lamy (*$^¨%`£)
Priority: Minor

I need the ability for web application defined in the "webapps" portion of the
plugin configuration to have the ability to use the classpath of the main
plugin configuration. A reasonable approach might be to allow the webapp to
inherit the additional classpath of the main web application config.

I'll apply a patch shortly for feedback/review.

[jira] [Updated] (MTOMCAT-170) Unable to Specify Additional Classpath for WAR Defined via "webapps" Declaration

Josh Harness updated MTOMCAT-170:

Attachment: MTOMCAT-170.patch

Simply calls "createWebappLoader" in order to inherit the configuration of the
main web application configuration. It would be ideal to be able to configure
this on a case by case basis (per webapp) but this could be a reasonable start.

Rainer,

can you backport to Tomcat 6 too?

Great. Welcome to the dev list.

http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/architecture/index.html

Hasn't been updated since Tomcat 4 days but is still pretty accurate.

In terms of where help is needed:
- look at bugzilla for open issues
- look in the dev archives for discussions on improving the website and docs

If you would like any further pointers or have any questions just e-mail
the dev list.

Mark

[Bug 53469] possible bug in Response.normalize(CharChunk cc)

That is a fair point. We'll get that addressed for the next release. However...

That suggests something else is going on that I'd like to get to the bottom of.

Huh? If you click a link to /a/b/c/d and the response contains a relative link
../../../1/2 then the result should be /a/b/c/../../../1/2 == /1/2 (i.e.
relative to the current request). Why does Tomcat/Wicket think it should be
relative to the previous request for /a/b ?

Correct. This is as a result of fixing bug 52811. The result should be
compliant with RFC2616. If this is not the case, please re-open and provide a
sample value that triggers the issue.
