I have done some testing and I can't reproduce this. You'll need to provide the
simplest possible web application (ideally a single Servlet) that demonstrates
Tomcat sending chunked responses for an HTTP 1.0 request. Please include the
source code.

Without a test case that demonstrates this bug, it will get resolved as
WORKSFORME.

After upgrading to 7.0.11 I'm no longer seeing the problem. This seems to be
the relevant changelog entry:

"Fix issues that prevented asynchronous servlets from working when used with
the HTTP APR connector on platforms that support TCP_DEFER_ACCEPT. (markt)"

The fact that the servlet was doing async processing was probably an important
fact that I neglected to mention earlier.

Patch to add  markers to http.xml and process them in XSL

It's quite difficult picking out the valid values from the configuration
documentation.  For example, the clientAuth description under

http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/config/http.html#SSL_Support

does not make it easy to see that the permissible values are "true", "want" and
"false", because the code font is not very different from the normal font.

It would be easier to see the values if they were in bold or otherwise
high-lighted.

Rather than add fixed styling within the source XML files, maybe one could take
advantage of the XSL processing and replace the  entries with some other
markup to flag such values, e.g. true.

"You MUST use the same password here as was used for the keystore password
itself. This is a restriction of the Tomcat implementation."

However, surely Tomcat 7 now supports the "keyPass" attribute?

Does the following paragraph still apply to Tomcat 7?

"Note: your private key password and keystore password should be the same. If
they differ, you will get an error along the lines of java.io.IOException:
Cannot recover key, as documented in Bugzilla issue 38217, which contains
further references for this issue."

I cannot get the keyPass attribute to work, so perhaps it is the other way
round - the reference to the keyPass attribute should be removed.
