Module paths and tool integrations
Hi, During Devoxx Nicolai Parlog shared his concerns about how different tools solve the modulepath/classpath in their own way (And he has a compliment: Maven does it correct). We were able to talk with the Jetbrains developers that are responsible for Java/Maven integration and we're setting up a small group around this topic. Maybe other tools might join too. I'll be joining on behalf of Maven, but is there somebody else who would like to join? Thanks, Robert

Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Maven Artifact Plugin version 3.5.2
here is my +1 yes, RB ok for those interested, once released, rebuild will be done by a GitHub Action and added to https://github.com/jvm-repo-rebuild/reproducible-central/blob/master/content/org/apache/maven/plugins/maven-artifact-plugin/README.md yes, I don't rebuild any more on my own laptop but let GHA do it, as a result of a great collaboration during Reproducible Builds Summit in Hamburg https://reproducible-builds.org/events/ with the team behind oss-rebuild project https://github.com/google/oss-rebuild Regards, Hervé On 2024/10/15 09:01:10 Tamás Cservenák wrote: > +1 > > Repro info: OK > Reference build done on unix-like OS and Java 11: > https://gist.github.com/cstamas/a88c8e14a0c01cc74ba5ef44f21db0be > > On Tue, Oct 15, 2024 at 7:37 AM Hervé Boutemy wrote: > > > > Hi, > > > > We solved 12 issues: > > https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=12324322&version=12354471&styleName=Text > > > > Staging repo: > > https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/maven-2218 > > https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/maven-2218/org/apache/maven/plugins/maven-artifact-plugin/3.5.2/maven-artifact-plugin-3.5.2-source-release.zip > > > > Source release checksum(s): > > maven-artifact-plugin-3.5.2-source-release.zip: > > 926559590be3263517a647c6d28409262fc35a0cc5324137131f39ce7a904706e0905bc4b37808ee8929f688c406c1bec233ff1331efac04728048501e7b49f5% > > > > Staging site: > > https://maven.apache.org/plugins-archives/maven-artifact-plugin-LATEST/ > > > > Guide to testing staged releases: > > https://maven.apache.org/guides/development/guide-testing-releases.html > > > > Vote open for at least 72 hours. > > > > [ ] +1 > > [ ] +0 > > [ ] -1 > > > > > > > > - > > To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@maven.apache.org > > For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@maven.apache.org > > > > - > To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@maven.apache.org > For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@maven.apache.org > > - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@maven.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@maven.apache.org
[Plexus-Utils] MatchPattern(s) Improvement?
Greetings, I am using modified MatchPattern, MatchPatterns and SelectorUtils in the new Apache Rat 0.17. I had to modify them because I needed visibility to the matching patterns, and because package private made some extensions impossible. The MatchPatter and MatchPatterns classes are final so I can not extend them to add the functionality I need. I think that keeping them final makes sense. So I would like to add - A public String source() method to MatchPattern to return the "source" instance value. - A public List sources() method to MatchPatterns that would return a list of MatchPattern.source() called on each enclosed pattern. - Expose MatchPattern method static String[] tokenizePathToString(String path, String separator) - Expose SelectorUtils.isAntPrefixedPattern With these changes I can create a decorated version that will do what we need to do in Rat. Are there any comments, suggestions or issues with this idea? If now I'll submit a pull request. Claude -- LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/claudewarren
