I am very tired of this kind of discussion. Feathers combined with our name are 
of course always problematic. Everything else is pedantic.

There was a giant discussion on why we should work on the bread as my a while 
back. We can certainly just remove the feathers, there is no harm done.

I find it ridiculous that we even discuss this instead of just removing one 
totally useless image from our front page

I am talking about the feathers on the front page. Not necessary the logo

The log 4j 2 logo was done by Murat. It is nothing to do wir approbation and 
does not need any change. 

Again, I want to remove feathers.

There is no confusion by removing a feather. Come on, seriously not.

One of the feathers is stands alone. It feels like „I don’t want this change 
because because. Don’t move, it will go away.“

Sorry, but I don’t get the problem here. Please take a look at logging.a.o and 
tell me exactly what will confuse you when the two feathers are gone.
