Re: [Announcement] - Establishing ALC Hangzhou Chapter

2024-04-16 Thread Jun Liu
Congratulations.

Thanks Willem and Swapnil for helping establishing the ALC Hangzhou chapter.

I am planning for the first event for ALC Hangzhou, once I have the idea clear
in my mind, I will start a discussing thread here.

Regards,
Jun Liu

Re: [C/C EU 2024] Who is going to run the ASF table?

2024-04-16 Thread fpapon

Hi Claude,

I think I could help to run the table because I will be on site from
sunday to wednesday.

However, I'm not sure to have a lot of free time to take some task
before the event...

It will depend on how much time it could take to prepare the stuff.

regards,

François

Community over Code EU has a table set aside for ASF stuff. You know, the
one Sharan usually runs. But I understand that she will not be able to
attend in Bratislava June 3-5. Is there anyone who is willing to run the
table? Sharan tell you more about the specific tasks and responsibilities,
but the conference committee needs someone to contact with specific
information and offers.

Please let me and Sharan know if you are interested.

Swag - lapel pins - any left & where ?

2024-04-16 Thread Dirk-Willem van Gulik
Folks,

At public policy meetings with Aliens (e.g. policy makers, politicians, civil
servants, regulators) - I’ve been handing out Apache/ASF lapel pins to any
those of our community present. That works well. Especially as this is not the
sort of place one can wear any random URL t-shirt to (in most parts of the
world).

Are there any left ? And if so - where are they physically ? As I’ve ran out.

I placed the original order long ago for 200 (I think), sent a few to anyone
that sent me a SASE, left many at a booth one year, and still have several.

How many do you need? Feel free to ping directly.
